I really, REALLY wish this worked with AFM. I need wind. I want to look into the possibility of an AFM extended mod that takes rotorlib all the way to tail rotor VRS, proper engine power modelling, better aerodynamics and a true holistically modeled airspace immediately around the craft (modeling main rotor vorticity and nuanced ground effect artefacts (walls push you away slightly, dropoffs suck you in but it's subtle), even advanced mechanical addons like individualized rotor blade dynamics, craft self-interaction (tail boom strikes and mast bumping), etc. Pie in the sky I'm sure, but I'd put in work for it if others came to help make it happen - I know the physics and a bit about ways we could model it.

oh ok haha, thanks anyway
Seb  [skapare] 5 mar @ 12:50
No lol I don't have any add-ons called that
LEE O C 4 mar @ 20:04
oh, i saw seb_main in required mods on my mission, is that you?
Seb  [skapare] 4 mar @ 2:18
No
LEE O C 3 mar @ 23:00
does this make seb main appear in required mods when i place a heli on map?
neck hurt 1 jan @ 13:53
compatibility with ace weather and wind simulation??
J-Money 14 jan, 2024 @ 3:43
id imagine same with plane turbulence right?

you should put that info in desc :)
and thanks for fast response man
Seb  [skapare] 14 jan, 2024 @ 2:24
just client
J-Money 14 jan, 2024 @ 1:20
Does this need to be Client AND server side?
MK05 21 jul, 2023 @ 6:37
are you ever going to make your turbulence mods into one?
liwocom 23 dec, 2021 @ 16:37
湍流
Morrison 4 dec, 2021 @ 11:16
@WilleoSix Read the description.
Willeo 28 nov, 2021 @ 18:18
Does this also affect helicopters that are piloted by AI? And will they try to correct their angle/heading? And does your plane turbulence mod also do this?
Zabese 8 nov, 2021 @ 15:14
Hey Seb, is it alright if I put this in my unit's AUX mod?
Son of Krazybee 25 okt, 2021 @ 16:22
No worries! Thank you for the response Sir!
Seb  [skapare] 18 okt, 2021 @ 12:20
I'm afraid not, it just accounts for weather.
Son of Krazybee 18 okt, 2021 @ 11:41
Does this mod take effect into mountain turbulence? Specifically how your windward/leeward side can be utilized for updrafts and downdrafts?
Stix_09 7 sep, 2021 @ 2:51
Nothing wrong with basic flight model , I like the choice and enjoy both. Arma is not a flight sim and not everyone has hotas for advanced flight model.
Reticuli 28 aug, 2021 @ 20:15
"The default flight model in ArmA is a ton of fun and has the right balance of realism and ease of use, it's almost perfect."

The default helo flight model is garbage and should be removed from Arma 3. Zero reason for it.

Reuploading to a private modpack that is not hosted on the workshop is fine, but don't upload it to the workshop as it may result in people downloading the wrong version without realising.
Jedi 10 aug, 2021 @ 20:18
To reduce the number of mods loaded while playing,I'm going to add your "Helicopter Turbulence”.And upload to the creative workshop for our team members to subscribe to use, may I ask? Do you need any statements?
Captain Toof 3 aug, 2021 @ 3:51
What? Being a pilot is a serious job.
FunFact216 20 jul, 2021 @ 17:00
This is so strong you can't fly in a storm on the default settings lol. Great mod though.

all my homies hate are resistance as well bro
Vladimir 6 feb, 2021 @ 6:33
No sir it was not me who crashed the helicopter into that nine year old...The wind made me do it.
Rowdy 2 feb, 2021 @ 5:30
@Seb I did log in as admin, but every time i set a custom setting and hit apply/ok, it resets and is the same when i go back in
Seb  [skapare] 2 feb, 2021 @ 2:02
All turbulence settings are in mode 0. You can modify CBA settings on a server by logging as admin: https://github.com/CBATeam/CBA_A3/wiki/CBA-Settings-System#server-settings

Be sure to overwrite clients if you want it to affect everyone.
Rowdy 1 feb, 2021 @ 23:12
i cant turn it down through cba on dedicated
TemporaryTeMp3R 5 jan, 2021 @ 12:27
I approve the last image
Seb  [skapare] 3 jan, 2021 @ 14:59
@FraggerNut

Yeah you do now need that mod, the planes version is tweaked to work better for planes.
FraggerNut 3 jan, 2021 @ 11:51
Do I need to also install the plane turbulence mod for it to work on planes? I used the plane turbulence option in the helicopter mod and it worked nicely.
Weißbrot 27 dec, 2020 @ 5:05
Ok, thx for response.
Seb  [skapare] 27 dec, 2020 @ 4:38
@Weißbrot Unfortunately, the actual turbulence script itself relies on CBA heavily, it's not just the settings so it's not optional at all.
Weißbrot 27 dec, 2020 @ 3:34
This mod without CBA would be great.
Seb  [skapare] 26 dec, 2020 @ 12:49
S1 25 dec, 2020 @ 11:45
Can you use this on editor?
PeacekeeperLife 22 dec, 2020 @ 17:37
This mod with planes would be pretty cool.
LoRd_D 17 dec, 2020 @ 18:57
@Seb Do you plan on make one for planes ? would be awesome
Gold John King 13 dec, 2020 @ 8:01
Okay, I get it.:steamhappy:
Seb  [skapare] 13 dec, 2020 @ 5:05
@Gold John King

It should actually interact in an interesting way - as AWESome reduces vehicle mass due to fuel weight, your turbulence will get slightly worse as you run low on fuel.

Both systems should run alongside eachother without issue, if AWESome adds turbulence at some point then both would run at once which obviously you don't want.
Gold John King 12 dec, 2020 @ 21:23
Hi, just a question, does turbulence for planes support or compatible with AWESome(Aerial Warfare Enhanced Somehow)'s Realistic Aerodynamics? :steamhappy:
NightIntruder 12 dec, 2020 @ 3:16
Whoa, it's almost like in TakeOn Helicopters, 10 years ago. Well done, mate.
xray 6 dec, 2020 @ 15:54
Nice
Taro 6 dec, 2020 @ 12:19
Hey, first I wanted to thank you for this awesome mod. The oddly smooth flight was something that I felt was really off in Arma 3.

Second: I edited the script to check how AI will deal with the turbulence. Turns out they do really good, even at max values they are able to land even on the helipads with great precision, all while the turbulence is actually affecting them.
Acid 5 dec, 2020 @ 5:28
Thank you Seb. I will test it when I get the chance and report to you.
