We need this, but with Gretchen Whitmer as the leader
Saruman the White 14. juli 2018 kl. 14:00
Nevermind, he was born in New Hampshire. I guess Mitt Romney is the only one to be close.
Saruman the White 14. juli 2018 kl. 13:57
I think a better person for leader would be Lewis Cass. He was Michigan's first governor, a US Secretary of War, and the Democratic nominee in the 1848 Election. On top of that, he was actually from Michigan. Ford was born in Nebraska.

can't save while using this mod.

@barnaandrew - there is no map with this mod, just the Michigan civ. It sounds like it did not download correctly, or there is a conflct with this mod and another one.
barnaandrew 28. dec. 2014 kl. 18:44
How come I cannot play the map ? When I try to pick the map it's not there and when I try to pick the leader, there is no scroll button ? What can I do ? Thanks
BrutalKitteh 19. dec. 2014 kl. 15:35

calcul8or  [ophavsmand] 29. sep. 2014 kl. 17:50
@michaelkowalski and @riidle_me_this - Ford was the most prominent politician I could find at the time
michaelkowalski95 29. sep. 2014 kl. 16:03
@Riddle_Me_This Probably because he was the only US President to be from Michigan, making him the 'most powerful leader' from Michigan. That, and he was a pretty good president in general
michaelkowalski95 29. sep. 2014 kl. 16:02
Hate to say it but it would be really realistic if cities were able to be razed in half the time :/
Sir Charles Dewitt 27. sep. 2014 kl. 18:23
Canada really? I thought you people were nice......
Riddle_Me_This 27. sep. 2014 kl. 10:18
Great Mod Man. As a Michigander i approve but why Gerald Ford as leader?
HABS 29. aug. 2014 kl. 20:27
CIV TO OP GOTTA NERF IT! heres some suggestions!

Detroit Unemployment Capital of America: -50% production of workers (Because it has 50% unemployment)

OR...

Ghettos of Detroit: -35% growth of cities when the information era is reached

OR...

Bankrupt City of America: -35% GPT once the information era is reached.

Thanks!
mustard_pretzel 20. aug. 2014 kl. 21:34
As a person born and raised in Michigan I must say that I'm going to really enjoy the idea of unifying America with a super army. Good mod!
TheTrueFinalBoss 20. aug. 2014 kl. 4:57
Looks like a good Civ, but though I'm from MIchigan I won't use it, because its too focused in late game :P. To sum it up get gets a couple minor things and the ability push out a larger and better late game army.
Wolfe 18. aug. 2014 kl. 9:09
This replaces america for me. Why?
calcul8or  [ophavsmand] 18. mar. 2014 kl. 16:29
@Warboss - Thanks! It's been fun. All the states would be a lot - don't know if I can get them all done.
Caek 18. mar. 2014 kl. 15:51
these state civs are awesome dude :D
are you doing all the states?
calcul8or  [ophavsmand] 16. mar. 2014 kl. 18:52
Interesting insight on Michigan. As it stands, it is a late game civ. Your idea about logging is intriguing. Thanks for the typo correction!
The Fighting Monk 16. mar. 2014 kl. 17:53
Good Mod and thank you. Two comments however: 1)In your mod, Michigan's power is all tied to the industrial era but in reality it first became powerful with White Pine logging. Maybe have lumber camps +1 production instead? This way it wouldn't be just a late game civ. 2)There is a spelling error on the screen when you defeat Michigan It should be "of" instead of "og".
Thanks you for all of your hard work!
calcul8or  [ophavsmand] 12. mar. 2014 kl. 17:47
Indiana could be fun - bonuses to farms, I suppose. And basketball and Indy racing, somehow.
Zakary 12. mar. 2014 kl. 17:27
Can you do a indiana Civ weve had 2 or 3 presidents born there but one died after giveing a 6 hour speach in the rain........
Almonshaa 3. mar. 2014 kl. 14:37
We still have the highest perportion of guns per person though. But we don't have the most guns, the most guns goes to Texas
Darthlox 2. mar. 2014 kl. 16:33
To below: Only because of detroit, flint, and our UP rednecks.
Almonshaa 2. mar. 2014 kl. 15:03
Well the Highest perporion of guns per person in any state is held by michigan
calcul8or  [ophavsmand] 1. mar. 2014 kl. 21:15
Awesome!
Yagi 1. mar. 2014 kl. 20:45

C's 28. feb. 2014 kl. 16:24
When playing as Kwame Kilpatrick the stripper unit was taking too much money per turn so I had to kill the unit.
calcul8or  [ophavsmand] 27. feb. 2014 kl. 16:25
@Spoderman - tommykirby95 pretty much summed it up. It's been fun for me (and hopefully those who have subscribed to the mods) to think about what makes each state unique
MajorC 27. feb. 2014 kl. 16:24
This seems rather silly seeing as Michigan never seperated from America once it was accepted as a state
calcul8or  [ophavsmand] 27. feb. 2014 kl. 16:24
@Foxie - lol
Almonshaa 27. feb. 2014 kl. 15:04
@Spoderman because everyone makes the countries and few make the states. Calcul8or is being unique
Spoderman 27. feb. 2014 kl. 14:14
... why would u make a civ of a state and not a country?
A Winged Hussar in Spirit 27. feb. 2014 kl. 10:42
A friend of mine has a parent from Michigan, and another from Ohio. He has a flag in his house saying "house divided" between Michigan and OSU.
Arctech 27. feb. 2014 kl. 10:16
I'm amazed you got the upper pennisula on the map up there. Sometimes even the government forgets to put it on their maps.
TheTrueFinalBoss 27. feb. 2014 kl. 8:12
As long as it isn't Granholm :P
calcul8or  [ophavsmand] 26. feb. 2014 kl. 17:37
Henry Ford was my first instinct, but since most leaders are political or military figures, I went with Gerald Ford
Almonshaa 26. feb. 2014 kl. 17:04
in my opinion the leader should have been henry ford
