Although I know you tried, the British uniforms are really crappy, forgive me, but I love your attempts in making a great WW1 Faction. I hope you learn from these mistakes my friend. :poilu::bayonets::germany:

Have you considered doing retextures of the Forgotten Fronts uniforms for the French and American uniforms? The French uniforms literally just need retextures from brown to blue, and the American uniforms could be made from the Netherlands uniforms in FF since they both have mandarin collars.

i dont think we are getting new terrains there were a lot of gallipoli ones but have been trashed the creator said they would come back to it with enough demand

@CptLieutenant when are you going to finish improving the American Expeditionary Force so that way we don't need the American Uniforms from IFA3 assets.

Also when are we going to get the 3rd Canadian Division and 1st South African Infantry brigade as well as new terrains, new trench models and Loos terrain?

@Susstruppen so I never actually found the fix for the rivers yet, although you might be able to place your own pond objects in the editor. I don't know why mine aren't showing

Do you think in the meantime until you can give the American Expeditionary Force better uniforms do you want to give them the same uniforms as the British since both their uniforms looked similar in the war despite using different equipment?

@retroburger1980 I assume he means it's a mixture, by that I mean shades of the colour, buttons, badges, etc. But I can't be sure.

@tankengine888 Yeah, you're right about the pugaree, which is why I'd have to make a few adjustments to the Burma slouch. I'd thought about unit patches by the way, although was only going to add them after i'm happy with the base uniform.

btw If you're interested in the Burma campaign project add me and I can send some of the early versions to you

CptLieutenant, Dont forget, the slouches in WW1 didn't have pugaree (until 1917)
Would be nice getting unit patches on the shoulder, but ofcourse, certain bits and bobs can't be done
Can we have a sneak peak of the slouch? And also, you need to have the service cap with the rising sun for Officers and other ranks.

Burma campaign project? elaborate please! I'm interested!

@tankengine888 Good to see people are still following the mod, as for the Slocuh hat, I actually ended up making one for a Burma campaign project although it would need a bit of work to make it suitable for WW1. And of course the plume and cap badges etc.

I lost quite a few relatives in France in the first war.
2 killed in France, December 21st 1914 and April 2nd 1917. BEF and AIF respectively.
Also had a DCM winner and that.
I know this is suppose to be 1914 but, could you possible implement the Light Horse Slouch Hat? With the emu plume ofcourse! It was used in Gallipoli, the Desert and France.

Anyhow, good luck with the work.

@tankengine888 honestly not too sure about the timeframe. I've got the new uniform done but haven't integrated it into any faction yet. I'll have to think about brushing up the headgear and adding proper cap badges etc. too.

At the moment though I'm working on the terrain and trench compositions, if possible the next might update might just be a smaller one including the finished Loos terrain.

It's a real pity you can never get ARMA 3 to be like WW1. WW2 IFA and FOW can make it pretty darn good, but you're the only one who really works on WW1, so it's a real pity.

Question, when do you think the next major (new faction/map update/uniforms update) is?

You can give them the same uniforms as the British for the army troops and for marines you can give them green Uniforms.

@Susstruppen Loos and Somme are planned first, so idk about 1918 yet, although semi-open warfare maps are allot easier to make than ones with a lot of trench objects

@Susstruppen haven't put anything in concrete yet although i've been experimenting with pond objects for a different terrain, which would come in handy if I ever decide to go ahead with the Yser terrain. As for the somme i've now got some great trench compositions although haven't started the terrain yet, I'll probably end up completing Loos first

@Retro burger you can also save groups as compositions I think, although I will add groups at some point once i update the factions themselves

@Retro burger, use the ALiVE ORBAT creator, its pretty easy and simple to use and allows you to make your own factions/groups using this great mod

Do you plan to organize the soldiers into squads so that way we don't have to keep spawning a whole lot of them just create our own squads?

@GoonBrah Not sure yet, gotta sort out the IFA3 dependencies first, although the WW1 mod did update their uniforms with new ones a while back.

@Truthfinder the original included most of the peninsula including suvla, anzac, krithia etc. (like 40x40km) but was too large so I simplified it to what had been done already with buildings and vegetation placement. if there were enough demand id revisit it still
