@tygrtraxx ty for your patch i really appreciate it <3

Yeah I agree with @Slavitic a bit, I enjoy most of Morven's mods, but I like to snowball my religion and I especially dislike the "religious mania" mechanic that punishes large faiths over 85% fevour, even if it's on a massive cooldown. So I just decided to make a patcher to remove this mod's files from Kaepbora's Morven 1.14 Compatch.

That way I can play without this mod installed and still enjoy the rest of his updated mods for 1.14 without any bugs. If anyone wants to use it, you'll find it on my Github page.

Long shot but I’m hoping you could help me. I’m trying to get After the End and the Fervor Midpoint mod to work together. When I first downloaded the Midpoint mod it would trigger Great Holy Wars within a few months of game start, but now I can’t get them to trigger until several decades in-game. I’ve tried modifying files, and I’ve tried deleting them reinstalling, but I can’t get the Great
Holy Wars to trigger early any longer, and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Do you know what I might be missing? Any advice is appreciated.

Have not experienced any bugs, mod still works for me. The religious hostility value thing sounds like an entirely different mod.
Drungip 16. aug. 2024 kl. 11:13
Broken sadly :( makes custom religions religious hostility values break making all righteous
Sly Marbo 3. maj 2024 kl. 3:56
Having a very large religion (roman empire) gives me heresies non stop. Wish this feature could be turned off or toned down
FlamingTerminator 21. jan. 2024 kl. 0:21
has anyone had issues running the mod? I've been using it for a while and I've not noticed any problems with running it

Tell me where is this line please
Norr 4. juni 2023 kl. 1:34
I found and made the change for myself, 0 as it should be
Norr 4. juni 2023 kl. 0:40
hey man, do you know how to make revoking holy order lease as different faith not increase fervor by +10? when you convert a large empire to a different faith, the old faith immediately gets 100 fervor because dozens of holy order leases are revoked
Morven  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2023 kl. 8:01
Hey mate I'll be back to update them all later in the week.

@Kaepora Gaebora
Very happy if you'd like to include any of my mods in the project.
Faustro09 21. maj 2023 kl. 11:10
Hello, one question, can you update all your mods?
Kaepbora 26. mar. 2023 kl. 3:14
I love your mods Morven, can't play without them. Would you be interested in collaboration with Community Mods for Historicity (CMH)?
Morven  [ophavsmand] 17. feb. 2023 kl. 14:15
v3.9
Updated for v1.8.*. Various small vanilla changes included.

@Ri'Zakar
Got that one, thanks.
Morven  [ophavsmand] 17. feb. 2023 kl. 13:43
@Vidmeister
The +10 exaltation modifier sounds like it is from virtuous priest exalted event (it's not from this mod). Are you using my Less Sinful Priest Scandals mod? That event alone can spike non-Catholic fervour and the Less Sinful Priest mod also nerfs it.
MsL229 14. feb. 2023 kl. 10:53
Hello, Ri'Zakar, could you tell me how to do it exactly? I love Morven mods but since they are out of date I would like to try and fix any of them that might have any issues
Ri'Zakar 6. jan. 2023 kl. 9:11
I think there was only one small change in vanilla files Morven modded since his last update
Devs added a modifier to "heresy_events" to "block Mozoarabic church outside of Iberia and North Africa if regional heresy game rule is set to strict"
It's not a game breaker and you can the section yourself after "Priscillianism more likely in Egypt or Iberia" if you want
Celticus 27. dec. 2022 kl. 20:31
Hope all is well Morven, hoping to see your collection updated.
luis3007 22. dec. 2022 kl. 11:47
Does it work with 1.8.x?
Vidmeister 25. nov. 2022 kl. 3:28
@Morven Hi mate, thanks for the mod. Been using it for ages, really irked me the way vanilla handled fervor. However recently I have experienced the problem of the Muslim Ashari Death Blocc: Ashari fervor just sticks to 100% almost constantly for years and this in turn makes them a superpower in the Middle East and Asia. I also never understood the "Exaltation" modifier giving +10 fervor. Maybe you enlighten me on this :)
Angel 29. okt. 2022 kl. 4:18
Every faith in my game seems to have fervor 45-55, no more variation
jkm 28. okt. 2022 kl. 7:57
hey, could you post an update for this to Paradox Mods please? I would like to use it in multiplayer games, and some of my friends don't have Steam. Thank you! :ambition:
AlexSansNig 9. okt. 2022 kl. 12:17
Random question. Is it possible to adjust the cooldown time it takes between crusades? Now its 30. Is it possible to make it shorter?
Morven  [ophavsmand] 11. sep. 2022 kl. 20:18
v3.8
Updated for v1.7. Early game delay on heresy overflow mechanic should now be compatible with any game start date added by any mod.
Bruce Wayne 9. sep. 2022 kl. 11:21
i need this!
Morven  [ophavsmand] 10. aug. 2022 kl. 23:17
Ironman yes, achievements no. Only gfx (& loc?) mods are achievement compatible, whereas this mods and adds several common and events files.
Irrelevant_Coin 10. aug. 2022 kl. 16:24
is this ironman compatible?
Morven  [ophavsmand] 7. aug. 2022 kl. 17:15
Prior to that in the block the faiths considered for the is_valid_heresy trigger have to be members of the same religion. For the Germanic Paganism religion the only faiths within that religion are Unreformed Asatru and Reformed Asatru. If you were to exclude the unreformed faiths then you're effectively removing the heresy mechanic from Germanic Paganism.

You can add extra faiths from other religions to be potential heresy flip candidates (Abrahamic religions add dualistic faiths from outside their religions for example), but you're left with the ought problem of which faiths ought to be heresy flip candidates, which faiths would produce good, organic, heresy/conversion results. IMO it would be neighbouring faiths or heresies of those neighbouring faiths, like how Arianism spread to the Goths.
Siðhrafn the Spoopy 7. aug. 2022 kl. 10:43
I've found that the is_valid_heresy religious trigger could be the one that decides what faiths can be heresies. It shows that Pagan faiths have no requirements to be qualified as heresies, but I think it can be changed to exclude the unreformed variants.
Siðhrafn the Spoopy 29. juli 2022 kl. 4:32
A part of me kind of wishes that Paradox allowed the AI to create its own faiths or reform while changing tenets and doctrines, but I can understand if they didn't want the map to become chaotic.
Morven  [ophavsmand] 28. juli 2022 kl. 20:24
Using the faith creation mechanic to create heretical faiths on the fly could be a solution, although I don't know how you'd add the loc.
Morven  [ophavsmand] 28. juli 2022 kl. 20:20
Adding faiths widens the scope quite a bit, although I agree having more heresy options for faiths ought to be the solution. For Yazidi's Paradox went to the effort of including multiple fictional heresies so that the heresy mechanic would be fleshed out for them, but not so for most religions including Germanic paganism which only has Reformed and Old Asatru.
Siðhrafn the Spoopy 28. juli 2022 kl. 20:04
(my comment is in response to your question regarding immunity to heresy)
Siðhrafn the Spoopy 28. juli 2022 kl. 20:01
Either that, or (if possible) forbid the unreformed faith from being a heresy in an outbreak. In the latter's case, that would entail that while, for example, Ásatrú gets reformed and its old and unreformed faith isn't able to be a heresy, a newly created faith (called Vanatrú, for instance) in the Norse religion post-reformation can.
Morven  [ophavsmand] 28. juli 2022 kl. 19:57
There's a limit that the heresy faith has to be a member of the same religion, so for religions with just one faith the only option is the unreformed faith. Abrahamic religions also have the option of some gnostic faitths that are added into their heresy pool. There's potential to do something similar with pagan groups; I don't see why all the different African faiths shouldn't flip to eachother, despite being spread over many different religions.

Not sure on the Asatru and who they ought to flip to, the historic conversion path was to Christian faiths, the dominant faith of the surrounding powers, or a heresy of them akin to Arianism amongst the Germanics in Roman times.
Morven  [ophavsmand] 28. juli 2022 kl. 19:33
So make them immune to heresy like Eastern Faiths?
Siðhrafn the Spoopy 28. juli 2022 kl. 18:57
Only Old Ásatrú. There are no other faiths in the Norse religion other than reformed and unreformed Ásatrú.
Morven  [ophavsmand] 28. juli 2022 kl. 18:52
What faiths do they think ought to flip to in that circumstance when subject to the heresy event?
Siðhrafn the Spoopy 28. juli 2022 kl. 18:24
In my game, many of my vassals converted from reformed Ásatrú to the old and unreformed Ásatrú.
Morven  [ophavsmand] 28. juli 2022 kl. 18:16
The vanilla faith selection for heresies has issues, I've had Armenian Apostolic spawn in Scotland in a campaign. I'll going to do a review of heresy_events.txt, inclusive of kpgtzac's issue, soon. What faith did they convert to and what from?
Siðhrafn the Spoopy 28. juli 2022 kl. 16:54
Is it possible for you to make it so that unreformed faiths are not included in heresy outbreaks? Personally, I can't really see the reason why rulers would convert to a disorganized faith from its reformed variant while the former has no clear structure embedded within it (something reflected in the game with a +500% Piety cost increase when converting from an organized to an unorganized faith).
Morven  [ophavsmand] 22. juli 2022 kl. 22:11
v3.7
Pentarchy fervour bonus capped at 5 holy sites, to play nice with Dynamic Holy Sites.
kgptzac 14. juli 2022 kl. 16:08
Another thing I can suggest is to convert counties to heresy as a safer alternative. It counters the play of having minimal amount of vassals as number of overall vassals in the realm are fewer, thus fewer chaplains running convert faiths. It deals longer lasting impact than convert random number of rulers, producing a large number of notifications, and then can easily be reversed by just demand them to convert back to original faith again.
Morven  [ophavsmand] 14. juli 2022 kl. 8:16
The underlying heresy power values haven't changed in vanilla. There is some randomness to it, the most powerful vanilla base heresy power will be 2.5x as powerful as the weakest vanilla base heresy power, could explain your different experiences.

The event isn't coded to handle heretical kings or higher. But I can do the work and include them, and make sure they drain a large chunk of heresy power, if there are no dukes or counts left.
Morven  [ophavsmand] 14. juli 2022 kl. 7:35
It's been that way in the mod since January, the vanilla value is very very small, hence why heresies are nothingburgers in vanilla. I don't think Paradox have changed the underlying value either, I'll have a look at my vanilla backups. I think the problem is that in your modded use case there simply aren't enough counts and dukes to have heresy power points be spent on and vanilla wasn't coded to foresee or handle such a situation.

I think adding a condition that kings and emperors can heresy flip if there are no more eligible dukes or counts will solve the problem.
kgptzac 14. juli 2022 kl. 6:28
16x the vanilla value seems a bit extreme. does it mean the mod will convert 16x more dukes and counts to heresy compare to vanilla catholicism? Not sure if this is a recent change, because my pre 1.6 playthrus didn't have this problem.
