thats strange, I've used V fire with my map before. Can you send me a video so I can see what the sound is?

It should be noted that this map is not entirely compatible with vFire; when anything gets set on fire, an ear-piercing screech gets emitted until i reload the map through the main menu

damn this is underrated. play this map with hbombs and gbombs and it'll keep you awake all night, at least... thats what it did for me. good job

This has to be the BEST phys map overall. The most fun I've had was playing on this map and it's relatively easy on gmod's poor optimization.

working on that, matching the shadows to the sky to make them softer and changed colours of some of the buildings in order to make them have a brighter surface

Its much better than physboxes with buildings.

I don't think I can really explain it in one comment, so I think im going to make a tutorial at somepoint, I will make sure to send it to you once I get around to that. The really quick explanation is that I used physboxes and would have them enable motion of the thing above it when the thing below was motion enabled or broken. The way I got it to break naturally was by grouping together different parts of the cut brushes to give irregular shapes, making sure at some points they would lock together when put into motion.

How did you make this. I know fake dynamic destruction is real but this is very well made.
Also If you really want to try out your skills use half life 2 maps and start by taking buildings from those maps and adding destruction to them. very well done.

what exactly causes you to crash, it could just be a laggy map but it also might be something specific, is it just in general or when you destroy a specific area like the big building?

if you used g bombs on it then that could be the case, I got a 1660 ti and an i7 9700k and its perfectly playable for me; though I will say that it can be laggy at times. I would recommend that if you are getting lots of lag to switch to remover tool and remove some of the debris, it will take a bit away from the realism but its the really big parts that run into each other that can be a big contributor to lag. I hope this helps you out a bit

it would be cool if there was a bridge to a small island with a dock or a tall radio tower. buildings with a different shape and an flat dock area for building would be really cool. :)
