You could try to convert the mod to use steamcloud with the "Upload All Loaded Files". This will upload all local assets that are not in the steamcloud to it and update the mod.

the memory bags provide a easy and quick solution for saving Objective positions without need for scripting.
As for deployment Zones, at some point i will find the time to add a feature for them.
