i think the issue might be the SRB's
I prefer to use jet engines even when there are realistically SRBs because stormworks SRBs are really annoying
they've changed their thrust amounts, and getting the burn times correct is hard with SRBs, and you can't skip time if you don't want to ride out the whole entire mission real time.

this immediately flips upside down when it takes off and there's no fix to it so this is basically cursed to always crash into the water

Maybe you can make stage one light stage 2? and have a stage 3 with smaller engines?

i found a potential solution. What ive done is disabling eng 2 and lowering the throttle just a bit and adjusting it as the flight progresses! hope this helps everyone

now that 1.0 is out, you can noclip into the cockpit without having to use the elevator. go into controls and find the key binding for noclip mode and then you should be able to fly around and go through walls.
