This character is pretty strong if built right, zombies are a very interesting mechanic which is borderline overpowered.
Very fun and unique mechanics, I enjoy iy.

Wait, people are saying this character is weak? I feel like they can consistently reach heart with little rng. Am I missing something..?

Is there a change log? This character use to feel on the fringe of OP; now it feels like the opposite end of the spectrum.

I can't seem to get a single win on high ascension now with this character. It is so energy and upgrade depended. most cards are just trash when they are not upgraded.

I can't recommend this character anymore.

Very weak and miserable character. Advertisment is flashy but in real game skeletons do avg 9 random enemy dmg\turn and zombies provide avg 8 block\turn. Off course if you lucky for quickly collect a lot of animated card you can play freely but if you not such lucky you die before Act III.

Of all the mods that are basically just putting a spin on Defect orbs, I think this is probably the best. Lots of cards that all feed into the zombie/skeleton system that feel good.

Constructive criticisms:
+Drafting for a wraith deck always feels bad because wraith cards are so rare.
+Too many cards geared towards skeletons/zombies, making runs feel same-y and drafting feel too easy
(I can't help but notice you could probably solve both these problems with the same change: more wraith cards; fewer everything else)

+[Bug]: strength doesn't seem to affect my skeletons' damage.

@Lordlynel Nope. Summons and cards that track the number of exhausts per combat are just never going to get fixed to work with other characters. Sorry, people who like to mash all the mods together at once.

@𐂫 Yes, it's possible, I was just too lazy to make the mod actually edit the generic "character" object rather than creating a new one. If I ever get back to updating this, I will probably add this, since a surprising number of people want to just throw all the mods together.

Is there a way to make the "Summon X" cards from this class, work with other characters? I like to do Custom+Diverse runs, and mix up all my mods - and whenever I get summoning cards from this class, they just don't do anything besides spend energy (and kick some speech box/message almost entirely offscreen).

StSLib (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1609158507) has a modded keyword called "Temporary HP" that is applied at start of combat, and takes priority over your actual hp when you're damage. Is it intentional for zombies to only block after temporary HP is removed? If not, I think the order of priority when receiving attack damage should be: Block, Zombie, Temporary HP, Actual HP instead of Block, Temporary HP, Zombie, Actual HP

Great modded character. First run I had with a burried/exhaust deck was one of the most fun decks I've played. After a few more runs this is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. Thanks for your contribution to the game.

Coffin dance is bugged (or at least description is inaccurate): Won't trigger with 0 zombies and skeletons (0 is a multiple of 4).

Great mod! Small bug though: a decrease in decay rate (e.g. 3 -> 2) is not considered a debuff (so cannot be prevented with an artifact).

Certainly a fun mod with fun mechanics. Zombies are maybe a bit stronger than they should be though.

Are zombies supposed to trigger if you get hit during your turn? I think I noticed one effect where they did and one where they didn't. (Both were from modded acts though).

Hello,can you make it so that when I get a Shade card while playing with another character, I get a slot to keep the undead?
Also, Dangerous Ritual does not trigger a cost-reducing effect on other characters.

This mod is fun, but is stronger than the default characters. For reference: I defeated the heart with this mod today, for the first time ever.

Much of this mod is balanced, but it has some overpowered strategies available. On my win, I used Putrification along with a couple of Animate Dead+ and Flesh to Flesh+ to constantly tank behind, and kill everything with poison. I had the core cards by mid-act one and just spend the rest of the time decimating elites for relics and stomping through the game. Not sure what the author could do to balance it, because tanking behind zombies is really strong.

@mdlp0716 If you read the text literally, I think it should be correct.

@SeniorHerraBanani Yes, zero is 4x0, but since it would be kinda silly for it to trigger on 0, I figure people will intuit that it means "natural number multiple" rather than "integer multiple."

As for difficulty, I think you might be right about easiness on low ascension - the core mechanic involving what is effectively temporary HP might put it on a different difficulty curve than the rest of the game. On the other hand, I'm not a good judge of difficulty there and my noob playtesters flaked out on me. If you're a noob and still think it's easy, I'd love to pick your brain. But try it on 15+ (I can't recommend the Faster Ascension Climbing mod highly enough) and you'll find it quite challenging.

There is a bug, the Dark of Night card doesn't trigger cards that are exhausted from Careful Cut

first impressions is that the character seems rather strong and not incredibly fun for me. you just play powers to make or buff your skellies and zombos and then spam skellies and zombos. having reusable intangable is also questionable

very fun mod, at first it seems like the decaying of 1/3 of your minions is a bit much but after playing it turns out its pretty well balanced
still sad not to see huge numbers
also seems to have many possible achetypes so will be enjoying ti for some time

@charlie I second what @Frugi Lentesco said. The art assets they named are reused from the Jorbs Wanderer Trilogy Mod, mostly from the Cull character. You do not have the permission from the art creators to use that art, and are in violation of the Steam online conduct rules. Please remove them or I will report this mod for violating the Steam Online Conduct rules. Sorry about this, but it's how it works.

@Charlie, I would really appreciate if you replaced the art assets that were made for the Jorbs Trilogy mod. Some of those are mine, and all were made specifically for that mod and that community. It's not ok to use those. The cards are: Careful Cut, Strike, Brains, Claw Back, Finger of Death, Grave Stillness, Grey Bargain and Consume.

Well so far so good. I did notice that Skeletons bypass Intangibility though. All in all it's actually a REALLY fun character. But I'll be able to get some real idea of interaction, as I run with Gungeonmod, Infinite, and Replay. I haven't found anything really outlandish yet in terms of glitches or bugs. Honestly it's one of the more stable character mods I've played. Not to gimmicky, but has a unique mechanic that make it its own. Feels like a similar quality on par with Slimebound or Marisa.

@Burning82 Yeah let me know if any interactions go horribly wrong. It should be fairly stable - unless, I think, you mod in some way to play a free card before the start of combat, or remove all your buffs, because either might cause the lack of the Minions power to crash something. Or if you have a mod that attempts to change the behavior of all AbstractOrb objects rather than just the ones in player.orbs.

I did indeed pick up Enchiridion so that may have caused it. I'll admit to not knowing the inner workings but it sounds like it's happened before and I didn't have Aura of Unlife in my actual deck so it sounds about right.
