Why the ♥♥♥♥ do we need to download all this additional crap to get a different background for the main-menu? We can replace the background music with no problem. But just a simple background? Nope, more ♥♥♥♥ needs to be on your computer.

well guys i guess the vpk file ( addon file) contains the backgrounds (bink.files) videos.these files have to be placed in the media folder in your Left4Dead2 folder. u have to extract the vpk file with gcf scape. its not possible to replace the background with a vpk file . u have to do it manually
