Well made map and good fun to play, also spooky in some parts :steamthumbsup:
Did not bother about the missing grabbity gloves - having to drop the light in order to reload, while not being able to hold the pistol with two hands & the light at the same time, brings some interesting aspects into fights.

Unfortunately I decided against this, this was the premise of the game you're not alyx vance you don't have the gravity gloves.

Carrying the flashlight manually was unfortunately too frustrating for me. Reloading is only possible if you drop it and there is no way to store it.Unfortunate because I thought there were some very cool aspects to this map. Adding the gravity gloves would be a big improvement I think

@Moofers I tested and confirmed that your ammo fix worked fine. Speed ran through the whole map and had no issues.

@Freezorg The key isn't anything important. The bug with the four-pack ammo is confusing.
@Leojrenrek An update bugged out the ammo I'm not sure how to fix this.

I loved this map, some original ideas I really liked, good visuals and atmosphere.

However, I found carrying the flashlight around to be cumbersome, especially when you can't leave it in your inventory, you can't set it down without it rolling away, and honestly isn't really need it except for two areas: the descent into the subway platform, and the darker bits in the sewers. Still, it's a design choice and I respect it. Although, you can't immediately pick it up from the floor at the beginning, I had to use a bucket to roll it away from the wall before I was able to pick it up.

I don't understand the need to have a "fake" gun you can't equip in the subway security room. The bug with the first four-pack of ammo is annoying; you have to kite away the headcrab and all the zombies in the subway so you can go downstairs and finally have ammo.

And lastly, I don't know if the key you left in one of the seats on the beginning of the subway had any meaning.

I really enjoyed this mod. The four-pack of ammo could not be used to load the gun when you first find it...really annoying to be running around a room with enemies and a gun that wont load...

After inspecting the map a different teleport clip was used, unfortunately this won't be updated as the compile time takes to long.

this map is awesome. i love the foggy background with the apartments and its an amazing atmosphere. i only encountered one bug but that was a normal glitch that has happened in the normal game. only thing is that i can teleport basically anywhere since you havent added any teleport clips. it isnt a big thing. also i dont think you should put buildings up close. like the apartment you come out of in the begining, its a bit blurry and they are meant to be seen in the background. anyways a really good map.

Finally got around to playing this map. I also got the missing ammo from the first gun room--the gun appeared fine (custom gun addon), but the large ammo packs didn't count. Later on large packs did count, as did almost all of the single pack magazines (one on the train disappeared like the first large packs though).

This was an amazing map! Aesthetically very detailed, balanced, and authentic. Feels great to experience. Having to hold the flash light sounds like a good idea, but in practice, it made my left hand cramp, and had a habit of disappearing if an enemy struck me while I had it. It also made saving a bit of a juggle fest.

Overall, one of the better maps I've played. Great job!

Had same problem with gun as Arrow100, plus I couldn't get it to load at a save point. Got to that point twice from the beginning and gave up.

@Arrow100, this happened to the Golden Gun on GoldenEye Dam Pt3. Custom weapons having problems since the commentary update.

Found first gun and ammo in card-locked room. Also a fake gun it would appear. But gun will not load for some reason. Voice says that there is no ammo. Have to believe I'm missing something here.

Unfortunately you cannot store the flashlight in the wrist pockets or anywhere else; you have to hold it. Considering you don't have VR you made a pretty great level!

Thanks for the feedback, as I don't have a VR setup myself I'm unable to fully test the physical interactive parts fully. I'm not 100% sure but I think the flashlight can be store in the gloves.

Decided to play this again to see how it holds up. Honestly, the flashlight in the hand mechanic is a difficult one with the way Continuous Hand locomotion is used. For example, if I'm holding the flashlight in my left hand, point it forward, and then use the thumbstick to move forward, I'll actually go backwards. Having to drop the flashlight to reload is kind of cool, but at one point it glitched thru the floor of the sewer. Some good elements here but I think Belmorskaya Station hits the same notes a bit better.

You can skip the apartment segment in the opening by using the lift to jump over the fence.

This was brilliant. Had a great atmosphere and turning off the gravity gloves and having you have to hold the flashlight really changed the feel of the game. I also thought the way you used volumetric lighting to reduce visibility with the flashlight worked really well.

Imagine if we had the fast zombies and headcrabs in this sort of map. I would shit my pants.

Currently in planning pripyat map, the main center area with the hotel.
Going to be a bit difficult to produce due to limited info on height of buildings and other stuff.

Currently porting over Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat Geometry meshes and working on cleaning up and reworking to be a lot more accurate.

WOW!! this was top 5 custom maps I have played . Excellent Job. I would love more realism type mods like this . Just having to figure where to put the flashlight and reload, was such a great addition

I ended up firing my pistol in dark spaces to give me light. It created a very tense atmosphere. I also liked the fog effects on the flashlight in the beginning. Pretty decent for your first map.

I liked this one but id agree with munchfire just needed a good flashlight (mainly for the subway area) at times it reminded me of resident evil very good job on this one!

Amazing atmosphere, but I wish the gravity gloves & mounted flashlight were usable, and that there was a few less zombies. Definitely one of the creepiest maps I've played.
