So, to formally announce this, yes, this mod is no longer being maintained (as everyone probably figured out, seeing this mod's last update was in 2020). The reason being, me losing interest in Arma modding and also, regrettably, needing to focus more on real life. There won't be any updates to this mod and I won't answer any issues, suggestions, pull requests nor bug reports.

@CoreX If you want to use this mod in your group and you have control over your missions, you can always modify the array with jammer definitions in mission's init. Of course the smarter way to do this would be if my mod looked at the config and searched for a certain value which would define which backpacks have what jammers, but I'm not gonna implement this, because I already dropped this project a long time ago. As for repacking this mod for groups, I have no problem with it as long as people don't claim they made the mod.

I would like to add jammer to some reskin radio backpacks, however, I want to ask if there is a simplier way of doing so or if we have to edit fn_jammerDefinition.sqf and completely repack whole addon? The second is obviously something we would want to avoid, but if there is no other way, I would like to hear from you that it is okay to do so for local use in our group.

Would it be possible to make the jammed UAV/UAG stop firing and moving like CONTACT DLC?This will play a greater role in the PVE mission,not only jamme the communication between players

Would it be possible to put in a jammer on an AI unit thats always on until the unit is killed, based off its classname? Wondering if this would work for an SCP or general horror op where the monster or whatever has the effect of disrupting radios. I'm assuming adding a player-controllable jammer wont work since its off by default, and the object jammers cant be added using classnames.

I had no idea Pook was so idiosyncratic. In any case, his Soviet Aircraft Pack has a large amount of dedicated EW/ELINT aircraft, as well as pylon jammers. It would be great to have support for those.

F-22 should not be EW aircraft, it came out early and I don't think it has the ability to launch electronic attack like growler and F-35. I don't think it receives any upgrade either.

@Rachid Hinton Yes, if you create jammer with the kyk_ew_fnc_broadcastJammerAdd function, players can't interact with it and the only possible ways to disable it are removing the jammer through a script or destroying the jammer object

It might be a weird question but to see if it's possible. is it possible to make a jammer that only disables when its destroyed. So for example: Blufor soldiers need to disable a jammer radio by planting explosives to the radio tower. when its blown up players can use their radio again.

Is it possible to have the GSM/RF jammer to also jam TFAR? This way you would actually have to make a decision if you want to have coms or IED protection.

A really cool feature would be allowing someone with a Contact radio backpack to activate the jammer and drop it onto the ground with it still activated, acting as a stationary, man portable jammer. Currently it turns off if you take the backpack off.

@Koger You need CBA and ACE for this mod to function, other than that, there aren't any other required mods, although the amount of jamming-capable equipment in vanilla isn't that high. But you can always add define your own jammer configs and add jammer to whatever you want.

@tourist The drone jammer won't help you in that situation, because the drone jammer denies the connection and therefore direct control of a drone. Since there is noone directly controling those drones, drone jammer won't help you. In that situation I would recommend GPS jammer as it disables the navigation systems of drones by deleting their waypoints and denying the option to add new ones. During the development of this mod my drone jamming worked in a way that any drone would blow up once it got jammed, but this was for testing purposes only and isn't present in the released version.

@KyklopCZ: THX 4 the fast response; I checked the mod out via the ACE menu and found the info sheet u mentioned; works fine even if I play in my old Overthrow savegame and have your mod simply loaded alongside the other mods. Will check how the CUP UAV Terminal behaves as "Anti-Drone-System" to counter Overthrow's annoying "drone mass charge" XD

@tourist 1) If that equipment is configured to have a drone jammer, then yes, but by default only CUP UAV Terminal backpack and advanced jamming vehicles (like EA-18G) are configured to have a drone jammer.

2) I assume that by "UAV Backpack" you mean CUP UAV Terminal as backpacks with UAV don't have a jammer defined by default. The CUP UAV Terminal only has a drone jammer which has a range of 500 meters. If you want to know what ranges different jammers have, you can download the mod, equip the backpack or get into the vehicle you want to get information on and then through ACE menu select "Check jammer state", you will get a complete report on all EW-mod-related equipment in that backpack/vehicle.

Few quick questions:

1) If I simply load this mod on dedicated server and client, will any player in any mission wielding one of the equipment pieces you have listed as "jammer" or driving a suitable BIS/CUP/RHS vehicle be able to jam drones?
