I seem to be having a problem, where, no matter what more planet info mods I install, the fu planets appear as "Large object", I don't know if it is to do with mpi, or if its something else

why does it zoom so far in
Niffe  [autor] 16 JUN a las 7:10
These patches fix different things, which might look confuzing. It is recommended that you keep "More Planet Info - FU Patch"
Cultist ⁧⁧ ඞ 15 JUN a las 14:04
Should I removed "More Planet Info - FU Patch"?
Niffe  [autor] 4 JUN a las 17:45
Thanks! Quest Marker Fix is not required for this, iirc it isn't really related to the MPI
Chron01 4 JUN a las 14:42
You did a great job! One question: Is "Quest Marker Fix" patch also required with this or do I just need this official patch + the main "More Planet Info" mod? Thanks!
Nickyfalconer.EXE 14 MAR a las 21:20
i found out by unsubbing to Crew Customization + the more planet info start to work so i guess the Crew Customization + going need a bug fix or this can get worse to say
Niffe  [autor] 1 JUN 2024 a las 10:18
Glad that you were able to find the source of the error. Also, interestingly enough, there is some stuff hardcoded into lua about these 2 planets in the base More Planet Info, so i guess that mod was messing up with that
Archvile 1 JUN 2024 a las 10:17
Just tried unsubbing to Maple32 More Planet Info and it seems like without it, the planet screen doesn't freeze. Checked it's mod page and some people reported things that Cyber Sphere Planet didn't have info with that mod installed, but that was like 3 years ago it seems. So I'm not sure what's what here, will try to write on that mod page and see if I get some answers, and if that mod is really the one responsible. Thank you for the reply in any case.
Archvile 1 JUN 2024 a las 9:48
I see, but is it possible to say if those errors can cause the freeze I outlined? Or maybe these errors were always there but didn't produce visible faults so to say and something else is causing the freezes and not giving errors in the log at all. Otherwise, the only other thing I've checked is that 4 mods were updated since that time I played SB in February - FU, Maple32, More Planet Info for Maple and this one. Maybe it's the More Planet info for Maple that's causing the problem, although the Gas Giant and the Cyber Sphere planets are FU planets as far as I understand. Just not sure how else to fix this, I don't know much about SB modding so out of ideas =(
Niffe  [autor] 1 JUN 2024 a las 8:22
Hi, from the first glance this issue shouldn't be related to this mod, as you're experiencing issues with lua files, while this mod only patches cockpit.config. There might be other related mods that might patch these lua files, so it's hard to say what is the problem as i haven't touched starbound in a long while
Archvile 1 JUN 2024 a las 6:25
Hello. I'm having a similar problem to what "the_silver_bandit" had I think. Played SB last time in February, seems some updates came through since then for mods, and now my planet screen freezes when I select a cyber sphere planet, or a gas giant too. The Info panel for the planet doesn't open and the planet selection screen freezes so I have to close the menu window. I tried resubbing to this mod, didn't help, tried unsubbing here and to More Planet Info, then resubbing there first and then here, also no luck. Here is the pastebin for what I think the part of the log that describes the errors - https://pastebin.com/ARVLzfe1 . Would appreciate any help possible.

apparently breakwater doesnt exist
Niffe  [autor] 5 ABR 2024 a las 12:38
Resubscribe to the mod and tell me if the issue is still there
Geo 20 MAR 2024 a las 11:52
Oh! Ty! I see if can find a patch, or else I just try uninstalling it.
Niffe  [autor] 20 MAR 2024 a las 8:54
From what I saw there, I'm pretty sure there is a mod that overwrites cockpit.config, since I saw there an error from Vash'Knaaren Race mod, which tells that it couldn't find path, which is added by base More Planet Info
Geo 20 MAR 2024 a las 7:45
Also, I unsuscribed from the Lush Planet Fix, just in case it could help finding the problem easier.

I just found a Lush planet and it has it's icons bugged. Just in case I tried to use the "Lush Planet Fix" and it worked, but still didn't show the house icon. Help??
Niffe  [autor] 7 MAR 2024 a las 10:18
Honestly i don't know how does it determine the load order, but yes. Also I feel like it doesn't update the metadata correctly (if it gets updated), which is the case here. But i'm glad to hear that there's no error on your side!
the_silver_bandit 7 MAR 2024 a las 7:32
I resubscribed and there are no errors.

I do not know how steam loads mods or updates them, but I wonder if a patch file is loaded before the file is overwritten by another mod, then the patch is nullified? That would be the case if steam loads mods via install date.
Niffe  [autor] 7 MAR 2024 a las 7:02
I haven't checked that lua file but i'm pretty sure it is the one i removed in the most recent update (to not overwrite it)
Niffe  [autor] 7 MAR 2024 a las 7:01
That mod loads a new cockpitview.lua file because it just copied all the contents and removed a fe lines from the .patch file
the_silver_bandit 7 MAR 2024 a las 6:50
After looking at this patch and the aforementioned one, I bet it is because the other mod loads a new cockpitview.lua file. I am not completely sure, but after looking through both mods this is what I found. Now I am tempted to look through the other MPI patches for load order issues. I wish it was a simple fix tbh. Are you experiencing any of the cyber moon issues?
Niffe  [autor] 7 MAR 2024 a las 5:47
Hm, this is weird, since the path it fails to find comes from the base MPi. I suggest trying to resubscribe to this mod. If that does not help, i can simply make the patch to apply changes independently, so if one of them fails, the whole file will not fail.

About the precursors, it is never a guaranteed spawn
the_silver_bandit 7 MAR 2024 a las 5:33
Hello Niffe, the pastebin link is thus: https://pastebin.com/sHDgtsue

For context, I loaded the game and started the character, went to the starmap, went to a few moons (cyber moon included) and looked at them, then exited the game.

The cyber moons do not show any precursor evidence in my MPI, is there a possibility for no precursor spawn on cyber moons?

I have also checked with FU's log bot, the two unnamed sources are the fullbright.pak and modsgohere file.
Niffe  [autor] 7 MAR 2024 a las 3:07
Also about your errors, there shouldn't be any, but you can provide a log so I can look closer
Niffe  [autor] 7 MAR 2024 a las 3:06
Looking from the description of the mod you provided, it only removes some lines from the patch files. Those errors were most likely caused by incorrect dependency list, which was fixed some time ago
the_silver_bandit 6 MAR 2024 a las 16:50
Also I am still receving some errors for the airbiome on certain planets. These were planets discovered prior to your patch for this however, so I am not sure if it is a persistent bug or not.
Niffe  [autor] 6 MAR 2024 a las 13:50
Could you provide a link to that mod? Also this one has been updated recently to not change the lua file to keep compatibility with other mods
the_silver_bandit 6 MAR 2024 a las 9:17
Also, there is a fixed older version that fixes this issue with the cyber moon on the workshop.
the_silver_bandit 5 FEB 2024 a las 10:02
Nevermind, I see this is a non-game breaking bug from previous posts.
the_silver_bandit 4 FEB 2024 a las 13:20
Hello,

Would you be able to help me identify if this mod is causing the following issue?

I ran into a bug in the following situation:
-Volcanic Planet, Cyber moon
-Can click on Volcanic Planet and no problems
-Click on Cyber Moon
-The More Planet Info GUI does not appear
-Cannot click on any other planet and am forced to press escape key to get out of cockpit view
I am not sure at all if it is this mod or not but going down the list this is the first possible cause.
The log file is in this pastebin link: https://pastebin.com/DwrVsKtf

Fix uploaded, should be fine now
Plague 29 NOV 2023 a las 16:24
no it still works, their causation for a crash is most likely two or mods trying to claim the same data
Oswald 24 JUL 2023 a las 13:07
Based on the comments below I'm guessing this mod is also now outdated and broken?
Sariphus 4 MAY 2023 a las 15:53
I'm getting a similar issue to below.

[Error] Could not apply patch from file /interface/cockpit/cockpit.config.patch in source: ...\workshop\content\211820\2141522956\contents.pak. Caused by: (JsonPatchException) Could not apply patch to base. (JsonPatchException) Could not apply operation to base. Just came across the same error in my log:

[Error] Could not apply patch from file /interface/cockpit/cockpit.config.patch in source: ../mods/frackin_universe_more_planet_info_official_patch.pak. Caused by: (JsonPatchException) Could not apply patch to base. (JsonPatchException) Could not apply operation to base. (TraversalException) Could not find "breakwater" to remove

Still seeing this:

Could not apply patch from file /interface/cockpit/cockpit.config.patch in source: ..\mods\More Planet Info - FU Official Patch.pak. Caused by: (JsonPatchException) Could not apply patch to base. (JsonPatchException) Could not apply operation to base. (TraversalException) Could not find "breakwater" to remove
AnomNom 21 ENE 2023 a las 13:56
This patch hasn't been working for me for quite some time. I discovered the reason why;

[14:54:57.042] [Error] Could not apply patch from file /interface/cockpit/cockpit.config.patch in source: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\211820\2141522956\contents.pak. Caused by: (JsonPatchException) Could not apply patch to base. (JsonPatchException) Could not apply operation to base. (TraversalException) No such key 'biomeairless' in pathApply("/displayEnvironmentStatusEffects/biomeairless/displayName")

Am I missing a requirement on my end that was not listed somewhere? Nobody else has seemed to have reported this issue, so I'm not sure what I've done wrong.

It's okay, Starbound is wonky at it's best anyways, good mod.
bungos23 7 AGO 2022 a las 20:05
oh ok I forgot about the clicking to orbit thing
Rylasasin  [autor] 7 AGO 2022 a las 17:33
We do not.

As far as not being able to progress, try just right clicking on it instead of left clicking. You'll orbit the planet, but you wont' be able to see what's on it.

We're currently trying to figure it out, but due to impatibilities it doesn't look like it'll be something we can fix in the forseeable future.
bungos23 7 AGO 2022 a las 15:02
any fix to the nav UI locking up when clicking on cyberspheres or gas giants? I can't progress because the cyberspheres have material that I need but I can't access them.

There's a minor repeating issue.
