Yep, the modding tools got released last patch. Currently this mod just crashes tww3 so I have to figure out what they changed between games.

No, the AI doesn't use the runes. That would require a script that I never got around to making. Maybe I will for TWW3.

Bug: the Hammerers unit has a rune whose name is blank and thus you can't see its effects (2nd rune from top, with chestplate icon, 15 oathgold).

It'd be awesome to add more expensive runes to T1 units to make them more viable in the late game. Just 1 expensive rune and 2 cheap runes. The problem is really weapon strength because late game most elite infantry is rocking 40+ with most of it being AP so even rank 9 dwarf warriors with any rune combo won't stand a chance. A cheaper rune of warding that's basically just physical resist would be amazing at ensuring they hold a little longer against endgame threats.

Is it possible for Runes to give units Flaming or Magical weapons? Some of the stuff you see late game will take huge chunks out of even rank 9 Ironbreakers and Hammerers and I would like to give them the best boost I can.

Still loving the mod even if late game makes me want to march over to Emperor Franz and smack the stupid out of the Empire.

Still ranking up to get Hammerers and Ironbreakers. Can't wait to see what they get. That basic infantry after the damage boost was nasty stuff.

@jasonft - Just went with what felt right. Offensive runes for damage dealing units, defensive for shielded units, weaker/cheaper runes for lower tier units. I gave some of the RoR higher tier runes to make them stand out.

I notice there are no upgrades for Heroes. Why not? I can think of a whole list of runes I'd like to put on the Thanes in my armies.
