@Marechel Lannes - when you install Reshade it will bring up a list of Direct x 9 direct x 10/11/12 or Vulcan after you have chosen the correct .exe the pack part is the next screen after were you get to check/uncheck the packs you do not want. I install all of them cause then you get to play around with the extra 1's at your own leisure - hope this helps

there is a portrait shaped blur at the top left of the screen every time i select a unit or agent on the campaign map. its invisible but its the blur in the shape of whoever i selected as their portrait and its quite large and obstructs the visibility

how did you get yours to look kind of dark, mines like a flashbang

@auellb quickest way to find it is right click on Rome 2 in your steam library highlight Manage then click on browse local files.

@xRevolution91 no it does not improve FPS it may not lose any fps on newer PC's but may lose a few FPS on older PC

does this also increase FPS in battle?

@MissAlice you can choose between all 3 if you want you can choose via the ReShade overlay i think the cinemtaics were made for screenshots/videos.

There are 3 presets here, which one should I use? Hazar, cinematic, or cinematic 2?

@AHOLS either remove the dxgi.dll or use the same ReShade installer to fully remove it.

how do i uninstall it? the reshade did not work as advertised.

@pablotrex717 a rar file is to compress the intended files so can be uploaded using smaller file sizes/or keep them in 1 place. if you have file and have right clicked and unzipped a folder will appears with same name as the rar file open folder and copy and paste the ini files to were the Rome2.exe is and in game via overllay load up the intended preset. it is not dangerous does it sometimes for me so your not alone.

@Chassy D If you open up the overlay and click on Add-Ons and tick the clear" operations" button that should hopefully fix it for you if not click on the resolution below that matches your current resolution

for some reason, when i have DOF on everything is supper bury. I use upsclaing to play at 4k. any tips?

@Updated the preset to just have the ini files just to make it easier for everyone since I only used base ReShade shaders with these presets.

@Nash my files should not kill ReShade as they do not do any thing to the programme, 1. remove the files from my download 2.then uninstall ReShade using the reSahde installer same steps as you installed it it will ask to remove. 3.Re-Install ReShade first instll all packs when asked. 4.add my ini files to were the .exe is. if ReShade does not load up I know some people have weird problems with the dxgi.dll rename it to d3d11.dll thats should hopefully fix it for you. Rehade can be a pain for some peope even took me a while to get it working, it used to just crash for me :S

This killed my reshade. I've tried reinstalling Reshade and Rome 2, yet I can't even load Reshade on Rome 2 after downloading just the default shader.

I spent the last 35 minutes trying to install this shader and it just doesn't load. I'm not familiar with this sort of stuff but I watched the video, extract the files into the rome 2 data folder, then download files from shader itself, check all, and it does not want to load.

@WarriorofSparta only thing I can think of is make sure the fie is not read-only and start game as admin i assume, other than that I cannot think of anything else

Sorry to keep asking questions, last thing. I've tweaked some settings and turned on/off some presets from your Hazard presett, however when i reload the game the changes haven't stayed. Ive clicked the save disk icon and it still doesn't save the changes. am i missing something?

WarriorofSparta try changing the name of dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll its weird but it works like this every so often.
