This is seriously amazing. One of my favorite HLA mods now. I will say, it is VERY hard to get past round 7 for me, even on easy, but the attention to detail and paying homage to CoD Zombies is excellent. I really, really enjoy this a lot. Well done!

outstanding work, loved every minute of it, and cant wait to see whats in store. maybe a way to purchase grenades could be added, such as turning one of the health machines into it or adding a third machine for grenades. bottle re-spawn time is perfect as is, though i would love to see more rooms, maps, and powerups in this style!:steamhappy:

@bombmaster77 Make sure you are subscribed to the addon, that it is fully downloaded, and that you then enable it in-game. If you started a game and enabled other addons with it, you'll need those back and installed to continue a save game. If it's a fresh game, then the aforementioned should work.

I have confirmed that this map works with Merciless Mod ideally on Hard difficulty. The faster moving zombies really ramp up the tension as time goes on, but they are also weaker in Merciless so you can properly survive the early stages on Hard. Nice job with the Breen Kick which worked perfectly for me.

This is an excellent map! I love what I see so far and I'm curious to see the future updates that'll come to it.

One small issue I found was that the door buys are a bit too sensitive. I wanted to keep the door next to the pistol wall-buy closed so I could bottleneck the zombies, then while I was waving my hand around with the multi-tool doing the power puzzle, I opened the door by accident.

Not a massive issue I suppose, but I figured it might be worth highlighting anyway. Other than that, I really enjoy this!

This is truly one of the most polished experiences in the workshop and earned a rare 10 on my review list, even though I would like to see a few changes and improvements made. I made it to level 9 on Hard and level 22 on Normal. I'd love to see a bit more variety with enemies as you progress, a few more scripted sequences like the shotgun section closing up on you on round 17, performance improvements at higher levels if possible, and maybe a few more cool things to do on the map like toner puzzles, etc. Those suggestions aside, I had a grand time killing zombies for 2 hours. forgot to tell everyone: you can kill zombies with bottles by hitting them in the head, its way much easier to instant kill an zombie with that

This was super fun to play and explore. The fact that the equivalent to a knife is throwing a bottle makes this fantastic. Having to find the power sources that are hidden is caotic while fighting zombies. I hope you make more of these in the future or add to this map.

multi tool is on the right door if your in the starting room go up there should be a desk with syringes next to it should be a thing idk whats it called but yeah on the wooden table next to the catwalk after that look for wires and stuff with your multi tool

LOVE this mod, it was really good at launch and you made it even better with the unexpected updates. I'm still trying to get that shotgun, any hints where the multitool is? Also I know this is too much to ask but a scoreboard would be pretty dope! Thanks! :smile:

This has been the most fun i have had with HL:Alyx workshop. its so fun i loved cod Zombies back in the day and now i love this .EVERYONE should play this i love throwing bottles at zombies, finding hidden loot like grenades i love this i never write reviews for workshop map or mods or reward but this one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Cant wait for more updates and more, Future maps i love this please make more :headcrab: :headcrab::lunar2019coolpig::lunar2019piginablanket:

@Frayo Thank you for your constructive criticism. I have increased the maximum ammo for the pistol to 80, which works well in playtesting.

At the moment, bottle damage is reliant on the engine's built-in physics system, which is extremely finicky and requires players to headshot zombies at high velocity for any damage to be applied. When I first implemented the system I was forced to use a low physics impact damage scale for zombies to prevent other props from easily killing them (i.e. the player's hands or gun). This obviously isn't a great solution, and I'm proud to announce that I've recently found a better way to handle bottle impacts through VScript. This new system will make bottles deal significantly more damage and allow bottle damage to scale with the current round number, similar to how knife damage works in the actual COD games.

Both of these changes will be available in Update 2 , which I hope to make live in the near future.

I did not enjoy this map, let me tell you why:

The number of zombies quickly becomes overwhelming after you proceed beyond the first area.
The ammo refills set your carried ammo to 60 in the pistol's case, which is not enough. You also tend to waste points this way if you need to restock before you are empty. I think it would be better to have an ammo station which drops magazines instead.
When I ran out of ammo, the bottles did not kill the zombies, no matter how many I threw at them.

But despite this, I liked the map design and the way you can repair barricades. Shooting zombies is always fun of course.

The idea is cool but the execution could be improved upon.

That was tense and a lot of fun. Tried it on Hard at first and died on level 6. Tried again on Normal and made it to level 9, but I couldn't figure out how to open the shotgun fence. Does it open automatically at level 10? Great map and easily in the top 5 of current addons.

I tried this map several times after new update. It got so much interesting and so much harder. Blocking shotgun with door was genius. After several attempts I thought it would be nice if I have choice to close the doors that I already opened. I think I would have much more strategic choices by closing the doors and block zombies from that direction. If it's possible, closing doors can be by button with spending some points just like opening the doors. It could be closed just for certain amount of time or It could be reopened by buying open button again.

Really amazing and fun! The developer thought of everything, and ensured that you won't soft lock yourself by adding respawning bottles for when you run out of ammo and don't have enough points. It's well made and really fun, with unique and well crafted hacking puzzles. My only complaint is that there isn't more! Would love to see a variation where you can unlock the weapon upgrade station by turning on the power, or even the ability to just buy weapon upgrades off the wall! Would honestly love to make a map using this amazing foundation myself.

i like it. any you can use headcrabs ect or other enemys. there is the mechanics though, the resin deposit receptical on the test map is cool, and while we cant use a hammer to board boards up yet, it did seem cool to place each one manually, if it can be done timely. that would mean extending the rounds some. like the buy doors should be keycard doors, you can buy the keycard for the door. maybe a chest with a 1000 dollar lock on it with the keycard inside.

For people asking for more weapons and custom npcs that isn't really something we can do atm bc Valve didn't release enough documentation or release the files we need to have fully custom assets.
