Any devs still checking these threads! I would like permission to port my favorite Rivals of Aether character into another platform fighter called Smack Studio. Credit will be given where credit is due, of course.

@C0ld Ramen Thanks a lot! Dan and the team took an initial look at Iroh a long time ago (Dan personally really liked him), but Iroh has some crucial flaws in his game play design that pretty much made him unusable. Basically the ability to chain long combos very easily, while fun to do, is really not fun to play against. If Dan and the crew were to ask me to change things for Iroh to get such a treatment, I would make any changes necessary though. I appreciate the thought.

I just absolutely adore this character and I really hope that Iroh gets the Hodan, Pomme, Mollo, and Olympia treatment.

I really enjoy this character, but I would like it if the flashing of the character's meter when usable was less vibrant. It's quite harsh on the eyes as-is.

Brilliant sprite work and enjoyable concept otherwise!

Holy crap this character is op. 24% combos are fine, but not if you call kill at 40% out of a combo on a low lag move. Who thought this was balanced?

Wowzers you guys really buffed the heck out of him huh. A lot faster and his sweetspots seems to be a lot bigger than they used to be.

I like the fact that you can break up the rage mode and activate it early, but not really liking the fact that you can't transform in the middle of attacks. I made a habit of only transforming while attacking to avoid exiting early with an accidental down-b. (Also loved to transform in the middle of an up-smash, but that might've been a bit op.)

I feel this char is horribly overpowered if all he do is stun. You cannot get out of it at all

@Retrogoodzilla: Sorry the notes aren't updated yet. During the stun effect at the end, you can cancel into any aerial attack.

idk if its just me but it doesnt seem like iroh up-B doesnt kill. when i hit the first and 2nd hit. he doesnt go anywhere and hes just stunned.

@Yoshi, we'll look into it. We were getting a lot of complaints about Iroh having lengthy combos in which opponents were stuck in for too long. The team is discussing changes to make Iroh more fun to play and play against.

@Dravicks, if you sprite a custom skin for Iroh, hit me up, and I'll add it.

In general, I feel like Iroh isn't as satisfying to play nowadays. It's not very easy to pinpoint why, but I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that his attacks have had their starting and end lag increased. These are probably understandable nerfs from a competitive perspective, but in general it does slow his combo gameplay down a lot and it makes him lose that incredible flow that he used to have when he was introduced.

@Remilia, Iroh's side and up special both put Iroh into pratfall unless he's in SL mode. The stuns are his smash attacks, I'm sorry you don't like them.

This is literally why Bayonetta got banned in smash 4 tournaments. Yay! I love an unpunishable recovery that moves literally too fast for anyone to comprehend, as well as it not putting Iroh into pratfall, which lets him do the literal Bayo combo from sm4sh! Plus, why do so many of his moves stun you? I'd like to play the game, please.

@PANDABOMB But the thing that caught me the most off guard was his Dash Attack and his Down Air when he kicks them from above. His Dash Attack is much slower and is way to easy to predict now so you can get punished for it way to often and easily. His Down Air or his Downward kick is the same but not by a lot. The opponent will still get hit but the time it takes for the kick to hit the opponent might cause you to get hit in the process. Sorry that this is really long i just wanted to describe why i do use him as much as i used to. Thank you for responding and your time. -Oscar

@PANDABOMB just know that i love this character you made and to be honest when i use his up smash to grab and slam someone one the ground Iroh would turn the other direction for some reason when i use the up special uppercut move and it misses like hes facing away from the enemy and he misses. The combo i used to use was Side Special to Up special then to Side Special again to take them almost off screen then use Forward Air for the finishing blow but is doesnt work anymore and i dont really know why.

honestly i feel like he got nerfed too much and his combos dont chain as easily anymore. If he had his old combo potential back then id pick him up again.
