I'm pretty new to this game and this was my first time using PAM, I'm having an issue where the display controls aren't working and are just blocks when I'm in the ship, and they only show up when I remote control it, but then I have to be in the cockpit as well. the controls weren't doing anything so I destroyed them and remade them, and now when I remote control it the blocks are just grayed out and don't work. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Both the PAM and FSD are tuned on

@Stickman Goes without saying but thought I would ask just to make sure all the bases are covered.... you turned on the Programmable block running FSD right? Both the FSD and PAM PBs are off by default. I just turned them on and the screens are working fine.

I have been using the ISL - Myxini Tunnel Miner MK3-AO 880 and really like the cockpit Panel 0 display. In this ship, similar Custom Data shows up but none of the displays show it. The blueprint comes with it configured for panel 3 but panel 3 is showing energy and hydrogen instead.

If I set panel 3's content dropdown to Script and select None from the script list, like the Myxini ship is configured as described above, the display panel does not show the Custom Data.

What am I doing wrong?

You just have to find a faction that sells ships.

I wish all of your creations would be bundled in a friendly MES faction that sells these ships, but heh. printed version is also good.

But I will open up SE soon and add this to the list of things to check, are you using any mods? And is this happening in Singleplayer, multiplayer or DS?

I haven't had that kind of issue before, although to be fair I haven't played the game or updated this blueprint in a long time.

I'm not sure what could have changed to mess with PAM though, since the script hasn't been updated since before then either.

@Spite did you do something to side connector ? they always get broken using it with PAM. i suspect side connector too far outside and collide with wall while mining

Hi Pops, unfortunately I built all of them pre-pertam, so as far as I know the only ones which won't struggle as much are the Kaari series with the atmo and Hydro thrust working together.

I'm definitely going to do some High-Gravity, Low-Atmosphere miners at some point, but in the meantime you could try this one (it seems to have been working for Demaros):

@Spite I have been running your tunnel miner for quite some time. Great work! Question for you, is there anything that can be done to get these to work on pertam? I have not been able to get them to adjust to the planet's higher gravity.

Hey there Freedom_Phoenix, as far as I know there isn't a way to use the right click drilling with scripts.

However, if you keep the stone ejection system turned on, then it should just dump stone as it goes, instead of taking it back to your base.

Question for the creator. Is there a way to modify the script on the miners to just dig out rather than mine? For example I want to create a base or outpost in the side of mountain and I would like to setup the ship to must dig out the rock that is there and not mine it. Normally right click on the mouse. Thanks in advance.

So I modified this one for use on the server I play on. Using SEToolbox I replaced 181 light armor blocks (the full size 1x1x1 ones) with small shield generators (of the same dimensions), which gives a noticeable amount of shields... I didn't even bother looking for dead space inside the craft. Let's hope the stone ejection system works faster than the quarry miner's (which is very slow).
