yeah in 1.6 master mode you can't survey past the first survey for some reason

Has anyone actually tested using Animal Dictionary in Master mode? First survey works fine. After that it always fails. I've removed all mods except Harmony and Animal Dictionary to test this.

This seems to be a less buggy version of the new Faunapedia, I think this is a good idea and I hope people don't forget about it just for a new alternative.

A few things id love in this mod are: displaying unidentified creatures as "???" And being able to show only creatures youve surveyed when browseing.

Hi, just saw this mod and I noticed that, in the preview screenshots shown above, the entries does not contain the information on what the animal preys on, if any, and what are their predators, if any. Do you plan to add this information eventually?

@Udon I recommend making it so pawns gain Animal skill points when they survey an animal! It gives you another incentive to go out an explore--

Oh, hey Sarg. Yeah, they do have a faction, but I'm able to get Rat Ogres in the dictionary, and the wolf rats are animals they own. But wolfrats do show up in the animal dictionary but I can't unlock it.

They probably have a Faction

I haven't used the mod, so I can't say for sure, but I suspect that the subject isn't being treated internally as an "animal".

I'm not able to address the deeper content of these other mods.

It's not an error with a message, but I can't target a "wolf rat" from the Skaven mod. There might be a couple other animals from Skaven that also can't be targeted, but that was in 1.1 and it isn't a problem in 1.2

Loving the mod, btw. I'm wondering if it would be too much to ask for another feature, though. Could there be an alternate alphabet, that only shows what's unlocked instead of the whole list?

after the new update i cant find the survey animal icon anymore on pawns, but the dictionary menu is still up

alphabetical sorting would be nice, i agree

I'm using the mod, but I have two questions:
- Is it possible to sort the names in alphabetical order? with heavy modded setups is a chore to find a specific animal
- Aside from a lore-friendly way of gathering info, is it different from the original info tab when you click an object?

It would be nice if this actually gave statistical information about the animal, such as speed, intelligence, pack animal status, damage, armor, etc.

I don't care for it, but someone should mod this into a Pokedex for the Pokemon mod.
