2019 (normal or 10th anniversary edition) is the first part when survivors nagivate apartment complex trying to leave the city of San Marino that is the epicenter of the virus. This is the map most similar to Valve campaigns
2019 II survivors are still trying to leave but now they have to nagivate the streets and parts of a bunker complex with the help of armed/orgainzed military survivors. This map involves many cut scenes and alternate endings.
2032 is the conclusion of what happened to the survivors in the city 30 years after the events of 2019 II, it features the L4D1 survivors. This map introduces new mechanics and has less cutescenes instead relying on audio recordings to tell its story, despite its stealth mechanics it is not that different to a vanilla game.
Other problems it has: Cutscenes are slow (although this is to add a sense of dramatism) they are unskipable. Bots are problematic in the scavenge and especially in the helicopter chapter, in the scavenge chapter, bots don't pick their kits or weapons and run around a lot, hordes don't spawn sometimes; the heli chapter is pretty janky as well with many frustrating stumbles. It would improve a lot if those parts were more polished, I am a bit disapointed for how good the ideas and concepts could have been if properly implemented.
Otherwise it presents an interesting story, introduces characters and other survivors which is a breath of fresh air, and has different endings (all easy to unlock).
