I would also like an update to this one if you have time Myrianne.
SixtyToZero 11. aug. 2021 kl. 16:27
You might want to make a non-xanion dependent version for 2.0. A starter SSU that has energy, radar and arbitrary/auto boosts. Add some hyperspace stuff if its possible.
Mr.Wanaskiwin "Navarone" 29. sep. 2020 kl. 21:21
Ah yeah for the mining i feel like it might be okayish to have the trading system. I often use my mining vessels to search for good prices since they explore the hardest.
Mr.Wanaskiwin "Navarone" 27. sep. 2020 kl. 0:01
something that maybe combines the mining software and cargo tho i cant think of all the vanilla stuff of the top of my head, i wanna say object detection was also something that came in hand with mining but i've also just woken up so i'll probably leave a more detailed thing later.

A mining variant might actually make a lot of sense. What did you have in mind?
Mr.Wanaskiwin "Navarone" 25. sep. 2020 kl. 8:01
I feel like having to have Transporter software and the ADVCOM software seems a bit redundant just to make it so fighters can also grab loot i mean literally all the transporter does is enable fighter loot pickup and docking distance which is moot if your getting that bonus from something already. Great mod btw

Have you considered doing a Mining Variant?
RawrKitteh 15. aug. 2020 kl. 0:31
The fighter collection is primarily used for salvaging and mining, which can be done ~well~ outside the regular collection range. I'm not completely sure they even do their job without the transporter "fighter pickup" bonus. Personally I'd suggest adding it to the higher-end versions of the upgrade but in the end it's completely up to you and what I might want could very well be what the majority might not, I don't know.
Myrianne  [ophavsmand] 13. aug. 2020 kl. 14:50
I'm glad you're enjoying it. I've been on the fence for a while about adding in the fighter-mining functionality. On one hand I don't want to completely replace half the modules in the game, but on the other hand, it's functionality that definitely fits within the QoL goals that I set for the mod. Either way, it's kind of pointless given the large loot collection radius offered by this mod, isn't it?
RawrKitteh 11. aug. 2020 kl. 8:34
Thanks. It was a bit of a vain hope. Will just have to deal with the salvage detector. Unfortunately also have to use a transporter anyway since fighter-mining doesn't work with just the companion. Still, the mod is -greatly- appreciated by us.
Myrianne  [ophavsmand] 11. aug. 2020 kl. 6:47
You can run both mods side by side if you want to, but if you remove a mod then anything associated with it will disappear and this one is no different. I've seen some crashing issues if you load a game where you have modded items installed or in your inventory but don't have the mod enabled anymore, so I recommend selling/throwing away any modded items before removing the mod. This goes for ALL modded items, not just mine.

If you don't want to have to find a replacement, there are console commands you can use to spawn in items.
RawrKitteh 10. aug. 2020 kl. 21:59
If you switch this mod with the wreckage detector included one or vice versa, will the old companion vanish and is the player required to find/buy a new one?
MachoNatchoMan 21. maj 2020 kl. 13:47
i don't believe it's popped up again so i think it's fixed :) thanks!
Myrianne  [ophavsmand] 19. maj 2020 kl. 14:28
Actually, that one was all on me. I just posted a fix. Please let me know if you have any more issues!
MachoNatchoMan 19. maj 2020 kl. 8:57
heya, got this log/console error with my server and just wanted to post it just in case there is something going on
Note: it is very most likely just some part incompatibility with some other mod(s) as i do run literally over 90 other mods on the server :q
NoteNr2: 1k character limit so log error bellow

It didn't unfortuantly, I had to build a new ship and transfer everything over, seems to be the only fix. Much thanks for your help regardless!
Myrianne  [ophavsmand] 19. maj 2020 kl. 0:06
No problem. Insomnia sucks.

Please let me know if the workaround succeeds so that I can recommend it to others!
Playtimeuk1 18. maj 2020 kl. 23:44
I shall give that a try. Much thanks for your quick response! If that doesn't work I'll live with it until I can rebuild my ship and transfer all my fighters. :)
Myrianne  [ophavsmand] 18. maj 2020 kl. 23:37
Unfortunately, the way the game handles module installation is hardcoded and there really isn't much I can do about it (short of writing a new mod that wipes out ship modules, which I'd have no idea how to do off the top of my head).

Have you tried installing a different module on top of it? I seem to recall doing this once myself while switching between games during development of this mod, and I was able to overcome the issue, but I don't recall how.
Playtimeuk1 18. maj 2020 kl. 23:34
I have a similar issue to Tubadawg. Like a complete dingus, I removed this mod from my server, realised what I had done (Still had a modul installed), installed it again, and now I have a permenant module stuck on my ship, unable to remove it, even at a equipment area. Any idea of a way to fix this without making a new ship? If not, don't worry, was just hoping that there would be an alternative.

Regardless of my issue, great mod!
Myrianne  [ophavsmand] 12. maj 2020 kl. 15:26
False. I just tested it and it works fine. You probably have an incompatibility somewhere else.
Gideon7 12. maj 2020 kl. 8:22
Note: This is not compatible with "More Starting Resources Lite".
Myrianne  [ophavsmand] 23. apr. 2020 kl. 12:12
@tubedawg: Do you have both mods enabled? I would recommend enabling them both, removing the one(s) you don't want and selling them, then disabling the mod once your inventory is clean of those modules.
TubaDawg 23. apr. 2020 kl. 11:22
I got a problem, I uninstall the old one and using this one with an upgraded permetily instll on my ship? when I got back online, the upgraded is blank with a Icon and no details. But when I try to uninstall it, it doesnt get remove or destroyed, it just copy itself in my inventory. So please help, anyway to fix this without deleting my ship.
Myrianne  [ophavsmand] 22. apr. 2020 kl. 17:23
I just uploaded a new version that reduces the loot range. This should resolve issues where the looting lags out. I've also added the scanner module functionality to the mod.

@crazyscientist: I'd rather not end up forking this dozens of times to fit everyone's personal taste. It should be fairly easy to do what you wish, however. Simply open the limmodule.lua file in the mod directory and adjust the bonuses to your liking in the getBonuses function near the top of the file.
crazyscientist 22. apr. 2020 kl. 7:48
Could you make version which has bit smaller values than the corresponding modules? So that this would not replace vanilla modules completely.
Myrianne  [ophavsmand] 22. apr. 2020 kl. 7:24
Agreed. I've been monitoring feedback and I'll likely push an update out later today.
crazyscientist 22. apr. 2020 kl. 6:53
The problem might be in large loot collection range. At least i have noticed this with other loot collection range mods.
GavchiK 20. apr. 2020 kl. 11:46
I have the same issue as Azareck described.
Azareck 17. apr. 2020 kl. 8:42
It seems to break from time to time. It would be working well one second and the next even running into the loot doesn't pick it up. Leaving the sector and coming back usually fixes it.
Nox 17. apr. 2020 kl. 5:30
Thank you for this!
Myrianne  [ophavsmand] 14. apr. 2020 kl. 9:36
I believe so, yes. I would uninstall and sell all the old ones.
Alfafiles 14. apr. 2020 kl. 1:44
If I add this mod and turn off the first mod, will I lose the improvements I have?
