To enable the different team colors in game you have to go to game options and click the "show play colors". Just updated the old map "refinery". This map is now also stamped so that the black borders in game around the map are gone.

Thx. This map was the first one that I created and I updated the map each time I learned something new (like atmosphere, mud, stamptool etc). I didn't know that time how to change the size of the splats, still it's a minor issue. These lilly pads are the last surviving spiecies since the dinosaur age :)

First off, epic map, well done. Second, it may just be me, but the ground textures seem to be... enlarged. There's some lily pads in one of the ponds that're the size of a Sherman and the mud and tire tracks and ground under the points is all blurry and way too big looking.

Hi, this map originaly had a dynamic popcap, but I had to remove it after western fronts release because it produced sync errors since then.

I'll think about it, in the mean time you can already try out this winter version with a popcap of 200.

Compatibility update for westernfront release is here. The yellow box is removed and while I was on it I finetuned the map a bit more like adjusting the fire angle a bit from a bunker near a bridge, some more lamps added, atmosphere settings, added one more AT emplacment on a hill (sandbags) and even more yellow cover. I playtested the map for several hours with mixed AIs (all factions included) no crashes what so ever. Enjoy !

I didn't check this map yet. Yellow boxes mean that relic removed trees, mobile radars, supply centers and other stuff that was used with previous worldbuilder and are now missing.

This map crashes the Game for me and my Friends randomy, but mostly in the first 10 minutes. We was never able to finish a game on this map. Probably something happen to this map after the release of WA? Also there are some yellow boxes close to the river.

Guys, good news. As you can see I could update the map again. Seems that error code 2 means that I had ran out of workspace. So I had to delete a map. The victim was the map 'reverce defence'. I still have the map 'reverce defence by night'. The same map but with a day/night cycle and streetlamps added. I asked my friend Reaper to upload the map to his workshop so that map can still be downloaded from there.

Thx =aGp=typhoon. I have an update for this map ready but the problem is that if I try to publish this update I get an error code 2. I also can't update my 'vire river winter by night' map. These problems started after the Relic aftermath update.

Great map! I'd slightly reduce the amount of mud and change the atmosphere settings a lil bit but otherwise it's great.

About still passable destroyed bridges .. its a relic bug. Such a bridge just needs one more shot. From a mortar, a tank, a flamer or whatever. One more shot is needed and its destroyed for real :)

New update: Changed player starting positions by popular demand. Players 1,2,3,4 vs players 5,6,7,8. If you want to play a 2v2 game players 1,2,5 and 6 start each in a corner of the map
- Increased popcap a bit to 130 for a 4v4 game, 173 for a 3v3 game and 260 for a 2v2 game

Thanks Peteria. About your suggestions. As this was my first map I ever made and still learning I never looked much into atmosphere settings yet. This setting was just the default setting. I just looked at the settings in worldbuilder but couldn't find "sunny day" as setting, The best I could find was "clear sunset". All the rest was foggy , cloudy, stormy night winter etc. About the player positions a little messed up .. I first intended to make this a 2v2 map so player 1+2 vs players 3+4, players 5,6,7 and 8 were added later because I found later that the map was big enough for that. Thats why the player positions now looks a bit messed up and I never tried to correct this afraid to mess it up completely. :p

The map is good and I want suggest three things:
-Atmosfere is little dark, can you make it more summer?
-Centrl chock point with too much mud, difficult to build defenses there(german only) and so many abandon bunkers.
-Player position numbers are meshed.
Anyways like I said, well done map and really interesting pop cap system.

Thanks to my friend --=REAPER=-- who wrote the script the map gets now a dynamic popcap and resource system. The smallest team gets a bonus and the popcap changes
depending on the amount of players in the game

In a 4v4 game each player has a popcap of 125
In a 3v3 game each player has a popcap of 167
In a 2v2 game each player has a popcap of 250

In the next update the few Axis bunkers in Soviet territory will be replaced again by Russian bunkers. Found out that the Soviet bunkers don't need to be manned to keep shooting at the opponents. The ai doesn't upgrade bunkers anyway, so all bunkers in Soviet territory will be Soviet, better for the Soviet players and it even doesn't cost munitions, just hopping in with a unit and back out, done :)
The Axis player can always build bunkers so for them this isn't an issue. Also trying to make the pantherturm and mortar bunker to work. Can't promise anything on that tough.

One other thing... I have rarely experienced combat outside of the river crossing zone, unless I am pushing into enemey territory. That being the case... it might be worth focusing your attention to detail on the shallows area and bridges. That's where most of the action was in my last few games. It becomes a regular junkyard of molten steel on one side, typically. Have you had any luck with the Panzerturm or Mortar Bunkers?

Played the updated map last night. Great changes. The map feels much more broken-up with the trees and other clutter. The shoreline is much smoother, as well. One thing that another player and I discussed after a round was the limited amount of yellow cover that troops have. The map is huge and some areas are pretty wide open. The trenches are a good touch - some of them seem placed in strange locations though. Normally you would see a trench to break up the edge of a wide-open space. Some other ideas to break up spaces: walls, fences, tall grass, etc. Keep up the hard work!

I tried to make chokepoints as good as I as unexperienced mapmaker are able to do for now.
What I would like to implement is mud areas around the base like in the recent Relics hill map. It hinders tankrushes into bases enormously. Thats just my gameplay. Rushing into opponents bases with a tankforce. To my surprise when I first played the muddy hill map... my tankforce got slowed down .. to a crawl.. and were destroyed by the defenders in no time.
Mud is something I have to implement. I am going to look how its done. I don't know yet how. But I'll learn.
