Unfortunately yeah the animations would be too much. Source 1's animation processes are largely incompatible with Source 2's. They are able to be converted with heavy editing, as some have managed to do it with the Combine. But HLA's animations are half files and half procedural based on the world and player movement.

To the people saying this mod is broken:

If you have *any* other mods that replace zombie (And probably headcrab) sounds whatsoever, this mod won't work. If this mod still doesn't work, type snd_restart in console or resubscribe to the mod. If this mod *still* doesn't work, put it in your custom folder.

The mod ain't broken, you guys just need to do some simple work.

Fits Good with zombies, but for headcrabs, not sure if its just me or the audio is missing or too low but can't hear the sound of headcrabs they make before they make a jump, like a warning call. I'm pretty sure Alyx also has that sound

Thanks for making this mod! I always thought the bms zombie sounds were out of place since it sounds like something you would hear in Left 4 Dead or something, not a painful process of slowly evolving into a monster that you feel every bit of.

@destiny1985 Subscription doesn't work for certain mod types including sound mods (that's why you need to do this in every sound mod). Only Crowbar Collective can fix that.

Don't forget to not being idiot yourself before calling other people like that.

@PsycheScream No i never opted into any beta, I only did once when Xen was still in developement and that was it. I was refering to 1.0 I think, I dont quite remember when it stopped working at the time

@PsycheScream This is what I had to do, That line has to Go Under Black Mesa VPK Files now or it will absolutely not work and refuse to launch the game. Putting it ontop of Black Mesa VPK Files is no longer an option it seems, the update seemed to have changed how that line is registered.

Issue is resolved now I think, but it looks like the Update to the game changed How and where the one part of the Gamedata line would be put at.

Some of my model downloads dont work either, and I dont understand whats causing this since they were all working fine a while ago. Ill do my best with the links though

Maybe some configurations are causing error. The mod itself is just a packed sound files and text files which should not create problem.

You cannot just click Subscribe button and hope it to work.

What you have to do is follow every steps in Installation part and not get even one step wrong to make it work.

Every sound mod for Black Mesa is like this.

@PsycheScream Ok I DID find another scene that could be edited if you want. In Unforeseen Consequences there is a scientist who kills a headcrab with a monitor only to be latched on by another headcrab; the headcrab uses stock headcrab sounds.
