That's why you obviously play in single player with hibernation active.
You would have to deactivate hibernation so that your single player acts like a server, but be sure that this will reduce your systems computing power.

Hi author, I found out while using this excellent mod that the shiny dino only spawns near me and not in the range of the entire map. What should I do?

Config entries are not created by the mod, if you want to configure it, you have to create the config section yourself, check the linked config guide.

In singleplayer (On the Island, if that's relevant), for some reason this mod doesn't have an entry in my GameUserSettings.ini file despite me actively engaging with its features in my game.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the mod, and still, no entry. It's like the files don't know it exists, yet I still use it... I've also taken a look into the files of the mod itself, but I can't find a clear configuration screen there either.

Any idea where the config file could be?

why is almost every dino shiny now? not with powers, but looks, they all have vibrant colours compared to before, only difference between normal dinos and shiny, is shiny dinos is named shiny, and their powers of course.

any way to change this? thanks in advance

@The Great Goose, well you can alway use one of the tools to pry the desired Shiny effect off of the parent and then give it to a child you want. I mean, sure you can't breed an army of shinies, but I do recall there being a shiny transfer tool.

Use Dino Storage instead of cryopods, it'll preserve the Shiny!

It's honestly kind of a shame that you can't *actually* breed shinies together to produce more shinies.

I adore the concept of the mod and the several variations are inventive. Some traits are far more useful than others. But the only relevance shiny dinos have beyond that when it comes to breeding is their wild levels. They become fundamentally useless once you have a stable foothold. Cool, you get a shiny apex- but it's a wild tame. No imprinting. No mutations. No nada. They're nice to look at and that's about it. The fact that you can't even breed two shiny dinos that are literally the same and replicate it for another generation is kind of ludicrous? For any serious endgame content you're just better off focusing on breeding standard dinos.

Now, if you COULD breed them together and actually recreate the unique effects they possess, then hey, that would be pretty dang neat. At least you'd get useful longevity out of them.

I am having exactly the same issue as TIYONIK in SP. A shiny emerges then disappears 1min 50secs later (I timed it). So there is just a continuous stream of shiny dinos emerging and disappearing at the top of the screen. I have max set to 20 on the map at one time and 6hr min/ 9hr max existence time frame. I have used these settings before without any issue, any ideas please?

im running this on my SP, a shiny will "emerge" then around 15 seconds later its gone.... any help?

I wish there was a configuration to whitelist/blacklist the various color patterns and I would like an option to remove the rabbit ears. Cute, but it just went on for way too long. I come to this game to get away from the Easter decorations.

not 100% sure it is this mod, but is there a possibility that this mod allows for collision changes (issues) with parasaurus wings touching you and being able to throw you off and away ? ill also send this comment to the other likely culprit of this... problem.

I would recommend to use a spawn time of maybe 1-2 minutes instead just to avoid shenanigans. As long as you don't set the spawn time to 0 it should work.

Having trouble with the spawn rate - what I'm trying to do for my server is have 25 max dinos, no expiration time, and so that they respawn / populate almost immediately.

I've tried setting the min spawn time and max spawn time to 1-3 seconds, but they just aren't spawning at all.

Everything else with the mod works great, love it.

Enraged dinos suuuck. Across multiple maps early game I've had enraged flyers come out of nowhere and blow through me and whatever dinos I have. In general they've just been a subtractive experience overall.

So is there a setting to turn off the event(x-mas, thanksgiving, valentines, etc) variants yet? I asked for this a couple years ago (or at least some kind of solution) and I think the best answer I might've received was "turn off ark events". Well I still want ARK events its the holiday variants that chew up all the available shiny spawns that I don't want. I'd blacklist them manually but there isn't a list of them either. I'd greatly appreciate a solution to this, thanks.

I do not normally post comments on anything really on steam but this needs to be said the mod itself works and is ok only problem I'm having is a QUITE LITERALLY MAD SHINY BRONTO with 100K HP beating my base down and doesn't ever stop following me without a dino wipe

Does anyone know the blueprint path for "raw shiny essence"?, I have been trying to find it for a few days now, and no luck, I'm trying to add it to the "S+ PullResourceAdditions" list to make it easier to find and so I can store it in the dedicated storage.
