i shouldve mentioned that this is the default garry's mod velocity limit. Using a lua speedometer, I can confirm that even the hl2 base vehicle version is capped at that speed (despite setting higher speed limits in handling script)

@CTV Got it. I've noticed that the cap is coded into the Simfphys base itself. I'll try unpacking the base, translating the Russian, and figuring out what is causing it. Maybe I can find an override or something.
