Yeah, I'm trying it out, its definitely well done. The interface and unit cards are fantastic. Any chance you can make a separate mod of just the interface and unit cards for Vanilla? I'm sure I'll like War of the Gods but I'll always swing back to Vanilla

Bonno you can use the Newer Combat submod with this as it tones down the hoplites. As to the Ai attacking that is why it is called the annihilation mod as a world war. I will up the Ai defense as they should put up a better fight for their regions.

Some feedback after playing HATG with Syracuse on VH/VH.
- The start is very hard financially but after +20 turns you're ok if you know how to play.
- Campaign AI: AI just declares war on everyone and keeps attacking which actually made it more easy for me since you can backstab them. The campaign only became hard when I was the only enemy left and Rome threw their armies at me.
- Battles: The hardest battles I fought so far in any TW mod. I almost never lose units but I lost several units per battle regularly. I just had to sacrifice some men in order to win the battle. My only issue is that Pikes >> Hoplites >> anything else, doesn't even matter if you attack them from the side or rear. Your only chance is to counter it with same class or to use missiles to deplete them enough.

Overall, I enjoyed it. The CAI is still dumb but that's just CA. The battles however have become pretty challenging with this mod, I really liked the battles when excluding my pike/hoplite remark.

I am considering to use wotg, and this agressive AI, my question is can you add this annihilation with a mid game original wotg savegame, when you have build some base strength, and then add this annihilation?

The Mod makes they game more interesting and agressive, the Ai ist more realitic. But if you play a battle as roman the Ai is so unrealistic good and even if you play with Praetorian the Ai with still makes a good fight with regular troops

That is why submods are made to to taylor the game to your playing style. If you want less wars use the slower campaign submod.

Ok I will start a new campaign today,yesterday I only test little bit as Rome and found that CAI is really aggressive,defensive and smart,only what is strange that there are too much war declaring beetween different factions on many fronts,I dont know how they will expand making war on all destinations but will see,need to play more turns.I discovered your mod only yesterday,before I play in DEI,your mod is better for me because here nomadic factions(Roxolani,Scythians and Saka) have better rosters specially infantry,in DEI nomadic factions luck of these units.Only few things I think is better to change in the mod:to make battles faster(closer to vanilla speed) remove submod more field battles,remove a huge public order penalties after capturing settlement and reduce the amount of maximum armies,I think 20 armies on 2nd imperium level its too much,its better to reduce the amount twice for example to make maximum 20 armies on last imperium level.

It you want the most difficult experience play on Very Hard. If that is too much play on Normal. Load order is this mod first and main mod last.Do not use any other sub mods(except music) so deactivate them.
