Oof, this was dire...
Some of the bosses were great, I really enjoyed them. But the puzzles were often totally bewildering.
I hope the remake is better, I'll give that a go, but this? Oof, really not a fan. Sorry.

Remake is the 2nd part or sequel. Remake is way better than the original but you should play them in order. Remake is fully coded. They are completely different games but the story is similar. You should play them both but remember that Remake will be way better than the original.

There's a mod called The Legend of PAT remake or something like that. Is that mod the remake of this one? Should I play that mod it this mod? Are they different or is that one the same adventure with some improvements and I should only play one of them?

When you subscribe for this mod, nothing (file) shows up in the dungeon folder. What do we need to do to get this to work?

HELLO PAT, i HAVE SUBSCRIBED ON STEAM BUT THE GAME IS NOT AVAILABLE IN MY LISTINGS?

I got this from steam and then played it in the version of Grimrock I bought elsewhere. It worked well. With some help from the Alex Deiner videos on some of the more obscure puzzles, I got through to the end. It is a very good mod.

Ok i was able to copy it just because it appeared in "custom dungeons", so i followed your instructions and now it works. It's like you said, it's important you do it while the game is running, otherwise, as you close the game, the file is erased from directory, even if you still have it subscribed.

How do i know where is the folder with the file if it's not in the "dungeons" folder?

@byranrayce Download it from the workshop, find the directory where it is stored, copy it to the desktop while the game is running (it has some unreadable UUID-looking file name), exit and restart the game to see that the file has disappeared, exit again and unsubscribe from its workshop item, then rename the file from the desktop to something more readable and put it in the directory. These are the steps that someone did to get it to work. Follow each step. If you get into the game, there should be a note in front of you that says "This is the final version of the Legend of PAT".

Hi, the problem is, it doesn't download anything! I checked both "download" and "custom dungeon" folders and nothing was added; also tried as suggested in "find any problem..." post: i tried to download it on steamwork.download page but when i put in the url of the mod nothing appears to download...

@bryanrayce Try renaming the file. You also might need to move the file manually to your custom dungeons folder. I hope that helps.

Hi i would like to try your mod but it doesn't appear in custom dungeon list...i tried to unsuscribe and download it again, as suggested below, but nothing changed....(tried around 20 times...X|). Is there another place i can download it? Such as nexus or similar?

Pathom3 I have no problem playing it, just need to import the dungeon file again each time.

@freddieclark Sorry, I am not sure. I know there are people who have figured out how to play it. The issue might be that my Legend of Grimrock 2 is [mac beta2] version. If I knew how to help, I would.

Still cannot figure out why your dungeon file disappears after every play from my dungeon folder. I did notice that all other custom dungeons have an 'unsubscribe' button at the end of the description and yours has a 'delete' button ????

ty pathom; i finished many mods (all on fresh party hard) , though i must say i didnot like you can steal from shops , maybe a choice to disable it would be nice, will play honest though,

@ozkal.arayici Not all shops. Some shops require gold keys.
Also, you are playing "evil" then. A "saint" wouldn't steal from people :)
If you want more of a challenge, play as a "saint", the choice is yours.

weird is you can get all items from shops without giving gems?

I found a work around my deleting file issue. I did subscribe to another mod. When I went into start the new mod in the Custom Dungeon option it did delete this mod. I started and am playing the new mod. I then went in and copied this mod again to the dungeon folder. I now can play the new mod and this mod. I think what is happening is every time I go into the Custom Dungeon option it deletes this mod only. So at least I know I can still play this mod by re-coping it back again.

That's it's I finished. Got the Wizard's Virge. A great mod if it can resolve the downloading/subscribe problem. I feel like I was the only one playing this mod. For me the puzzles were kind of hard but may not be for others. Good job pathom3 and hope you decide to make another.

Just stick with your file until you beat it or reach the final boss. Just so you are aware, the final boss in v2 that you are playing is very very VERY Hard!! I made it easier in the newest versions. If you make it to the final boss, and can't win after 10+ tries, just consider that you won the game. The newest versions are easier and doable. Good luck if you reach it.

I went to steamworkshopdownload and downloaded the file below that you created since the subscribe did not work for me again. It did say V3 this time before I downloaded it. It did in my download dir. download it but it was named the same as V2 as it named it (1) on the end. I loaded the game and went into the special dungeon to see if my mod was named V2. It was not there and I could not see my saved games afterwords. I then move V2 to another folder in a safe place. I then renamed the V3 file just taking off the (1). I then copied it into my dungeon folder. I fired up the game and the saved games were there.

I think I'm going to stick with the file I have until I finish if I can. I tried to subscribe again and lost my save games and it didn't show up in the list of subscribed mods. It maybe because I had the old one still in there. I'm to far long I think to change now.

Okay, I re-uploaded the dungeon. So it should work. If it doesn't message me and I can send you the file you need.

Okay, I created a forum post to see if anyone in the community can answer me on why you guys are having problems with subscribing/playing my mod. If someone answers me, I will see what they say and try to fix it.

I figured out the puzzle with the 4 alters in the Dark Jungle. Still haven't fixed the bridge. Can't seem to locate the hidden alcove. Still stuck on the alter puzzles in Hell and the Water Zone. I understand the note in the Hell zone but haven't figured it out yet. I think I have a few of them but like I said below, it would be nice to hear a conformation click or sound.

What time zone are you in? I am in USA Eastern Standard Time.

I don't know how you do it but it works in your mod when you put the Rapiers in their correct spots.

It would have been real nice if when one puts something on one of the pedestals it would make a noise of some kind if you place the correct item on it.

@jandsarmstrong273 The important thing for the pedestals puzzle in Hell is to look at the person's name who wrote the note. That will help you figure out the solution. If you want answers to this puzzle or the pedestal puzzle in Dark Jungle, post the question under the "discussion for puzzles" section. I will give out answers there. All of the pedestals puzzles are a little different. They require you to think a lot but once you figure it out it'll make more sense.

Wow, I'm in the Hell section and the clues for the pedestals make no sense to me. Still stuck on the other 4 pedestals also with clues "sound" and "way home" as two of them. Took a while to figure out how to get past the fire in hell. Sneaky clue there but made sense after I did it. Yes, kingrilian I'm enjoying this mod also.

In the Water Zone the right side puzzle, I can not get to the bridge which has appeared giving access to the leaver on the west side. I have both cubes side by side on the north side of the gap, which with the third should give a platform round the gap. Unfortunately which ever cube is in the centre it does not sustain passage, the party just fall through. If this is intended, please, how do I get over the gap I am really enjoying this mod.

@jandsarmstrong273 The teleporter in the Safe Zone in v2 that you are playing doesn't work. I made it work properly in v3. The only thing you'll miss out on is 1 secret and some items. As for the essences, it is your choice where to put them, whether give them to PAT at the castle or return them to their shrines in the elemental zones. As for the puzzle with the alcoves, think about an item that you might find if you are walking in the woods. And what item is worth a lot in the mod.
So if you get 49 secrets on the version you are playing that is max. Not 50.
