Hey, uhm, for some reason, the new mod launcher for Xcom 2 mods classifies this mod as a WoTC mod, not Legacy, and yes, the base game is known as Legacy, not the ice cream flavour, anyways, could you just make two varients of this mod instead of having the one? Y'know, one that works for WoTC and the other working for Legacy? I would appreciate it, and I would probably end up using the latter as I don't have the WoTC DLC, so...

No, there are no EA Battlefront 2 sound files in this - the only voice files I sourced had Temeura Morrison as the voice actor, so OG Battlefront 1 and Republic Commando.

it will not work 99% of the time with the normal launcher but will 100% work when using the AML i have had this mode in my game both xcom 2 and the expansion since i brought the game

Are you loading it using AML, or just the vanilla game launcher?

If you're using the vanilla game launcher, it is unfortunately known to simply not load mods - you will want to try enabling it using AML instead.

I can confirm it loads into legacy xcom 2 just fine, BUT NONE OF THE VOICE-LINES PLAY, that means the legacy variant has issues [bug report]

i can confirm it works fine with AML but as with most mods made for both xcom2 and the wotc the normal launcher wont read most mods without an added tag line but the AML forces it to skip this check and adds the mods to the game

Some of the guys who mod, Star Wars: Empire At War have the Galactic Battlegrounds voice files. I've heard them in multiple mods that include the Republic. Could ask them.

Update: I found how to open drs files after adding a few deprecated Windows ocx files. Everything you want is in the sounds_x1.drs file. Unit names show up alphabetically, usually grouping each unit with others of its kind. They may start around 9002, but there may be some Republic scattered before. If you want, I can extract them as all .wav and send them your way.

Take your time! I had difficulty figuring out where to find the audio in the game, too. From what I'm looking at, you need a .drs file converter. I assume you'd just unpack sounds_x1.drs and sounds_x2.drs.

I'm going to take a whack at it too and let you know if I make any progress.

Hey guys - I've had some difficulty getting my hands on the sound files for Galactic Battlegrounds, but once I figure that out, I'll release it as a separate addon unless the voice files happen to sound consistent with the ones in this pack (that is to say, the radio effect not sounding too different among other things). I like that this voice pack exists, gives roughly half my clones a different personality from the other half. That said there is one line I would recommend if you can find it for when clones panic. Sometimes when clones come across General Grievous they panic and keep getting his name wrong. General Agregious, generally devious, it's hilarious.

agreed with standardheadache, Galactic Battlegrounds (2001) has some of the best Clone Trooper voice barks in any game ever. Highly reccommend you check it out, very slick.

If you ever need more lines, feel free to check out Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, the AoE2 conversion with the Republic as a playable faction. At a bare minimum, there'd be rifle, rocket, and grenade lines.

One thing I do when doing a Clone Wars or EAW playthrough is I use the Dee Bradley Baker voices for normal clones, and now I can use the classic voices for ARCs, Jumptroopers, and the more 'Fett-like" clones.
