Overlord 18. okt. 2022 kl. 12:27
This mod was the best. It did the job right and it was simple to use :(
Chris 26. maj 2022 kl. 20:50
Doesn't work for me any more. Used to be great.
NX Valiant 3. dec. 2021 kl. 10:07
The mod doesn't seem to work for me, maybe because of recent patches? The new interface looks very different than on the screenshots.
MerfWorks 12. feb. 2021 kl. 18:36
Thank you for taking the time and effort to create this mod. When building highways the flow of traffic in the parallel lane is in the opposite direction, not the same direction. Any chance of adding this functionality to the mod so that you could build parallel roads with traffic flow in opposite directions if wanted?
briansyston 23. jan. 2021 kl. 4:46
How about motorway junctions ?
heuhot 18. jan. 2021 kl. 15:52
Hallo, dieser mod ist ohne Funktion!!
THE BRO 23. maj 2020 kl. 11:24

coth 16. maj 2020 kl. 18:01
is there any way to build a tunnel?
Othelos 5. maj 2020 kl. 8:21
everytime i place it down i get a lua error.... what the heck is wrong?
SongarakGoza 27. apr. 2020 kl. 8:16
Could you add a 'rail to rail distance' function with 2.5m interval? :winter2019happyyul:
ray_lil 18. apr. 2020 kl. 19:06
Why doesn't it work after subscribing?
The parallel road is not the same as the first picture.
督爷 8. mar. 2020 kl. 18:59
终于....终于找到了,强迫症表示极度舒爽啊!!!
Hingle McCringleberry 2. mar. 2020 kl. 10:01
The mod doesn't seem to work here, have any suggetions?
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 4. feb. 2020 kl. 11:27
Standard road upgrade tool, RMB switches direction
Comrade Felix 3. feb. 2020 kl. 22:18
This mod is excellent! But the parallel road tool isn't very useful if both highways go the same direction. Is there an easy way to switch the direction of the road after it has been placed?
hi0316 1. feb. 2020 kl. 8:49
Can i make two roads in different directions?
Tom50936 28. jan. 2020 kl. 3:26
@FixXeR, now i have tested it ingame, but the settings-field is empty and I can`t pick or change anything. What am I doing wrong? Is there a nfo-file or something else?
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 28. jan. 2020 kl. 2:53
@tom.w , havent tested. but I'm not sure that the construction menu is active in the editor, if you can use other road contruction items then it should be fine.
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 28. jan. 2020 kl. 2:52
@Blackbound, put down 2 sections with the tool and connect them. if you put the sections down at an angle them you'll have your curve. (3rd picture shows this)
cOOl pOTATo 27. jan. 2020 kl. 11:02
Maybe a stupid question but, how do you do the curved roads like the ones in the picture?
Tom50936 27. jan. 2020 kl. 5:46
Stupid Question: Doesn`t this Mod work in the Mapeditor? I haven`t played ingame, because i am creating a map. So I didn`t test...
tsilaicosneknurd 15. jan. 2020 kl. 17:08
those close to each other roads look great..
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 15. jan. 2020 kl. 13:03
if that was the question then yes you can just change the values. I thought the question was to get the same snapping behavior that the tracks have, for that I havent found a solution.

Adapt the sliders settings and set the sidewalk of the countryroads to 0.01

local SegmentL = { 5, 6, 7, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, 500 }
local RoadSpa = { 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50}
local RailSpa = { 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50}
local Numro = { 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}
local Numtr = { 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 15. jan. 2020 kl. 12:18
@perseus, that was the idea when I started looking in to this mod. Haven't found an option to do that. Seems to be outside the moddable erea, but off course I could be mistaken. But if you put the pieces down and connect then you get a similar result I would say
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 15. jan. 2020 kl. 12:15
@proudwingman, should work in the same way. Maybe add the path, the same as with the road types. I'll check later when I have time
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 15. jan. 2020 kl. 12:12
@specialistzero, no worries. Glad it's working
Perseus™ 15. jan. 2020 kl. 8:25
cool mod but can you improve this mod so that you can also tie the streets together? as with the rails
Proud Wingman 15. jan. 2020 kl. 5:46
Quote from your con file:

--the two types of roads from which can be chosen
local types = {"modsubfolder/highway example1.lua", "modsubfolder/highway example2.lua"}

But your tracks are not really defined:
type = "TRACK",
params = {
type = "high_speed.lua",
catenary = params.catenary == 1
},
edges = ledges,
snapNodes = SnapNodesArray

If you use the name of the modded.lua track the game is crashing upon opening the parallelism icon.
Proud Wingman 15. jan. 2020 kl. 5:32
Ok Fixxer I was succesfull to use your mod for custom streets. But the tracks are not possible to change to use custome ones. Or to be precise I don't know how to use the proper syntax i suppose.
SpecialistZer0 15. jan. 2020 kl. 0:13
@FixXxer Sorry mate, was not your mod at fault, it was an update to another mod that caused the problem. Everything is working fine now.
SpecialistZer0 14. jan. 2020 kl. 23:44
@FixXxer Excellent mod, another realistic addition, had a CTD though when laying road from a double road bridge section to a double road ground level section.
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 13. jan. 2020 kl. 12:26
@tsilaicosneknurd, thanks for the nice feedback!
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 13. jan. 2020 kl. 12:25
@fredehorn, yes the from date is set to 1925 to be in line with the roud types used. You could copy the mod to your local mod folder and edit the Parallelism.con file. just find and replace the dates. (and make sure to load the local mod and not the original one on your save file)
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 13. jan. 2020 kl. 12:23
@MiniMe943 , yes i could add that. I've done so in my other mod "Better Roundabout". I'll try to do so in the next days.
realWelt101 13. jan. 2020 kl. 9:28
Did you even read the description?
fredehorn 13. jan. 2020 kl. 8:19
Thank you for this great mod! Right now it is not working before 1925. Am I doing something wrong or is that intended?
MiniMe943 12. jan. 2020 kl. 16:20
Is there any plan to add support for other bridge types? Be that vanilla or modded?
tsilaicosneknurd 12. jan. 2020 kl. 12:17
street cat's absolutely correct: "Nicely done, and badly needed".
it was disgusting annoying to get streets and tracks nicely joined to each other
CSI48 12. jan. 2020 kl. 2:47
sorry Fix , i did not know to copy it. all i know is the second i clicked the road tool , instant crash to desktop. No Error message came up other than 'Transport fever 2 is not responding'
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 12. jan. 2020 kl. 1:26
@csi48, can you tell me the error you got? Do you still have the standard raods or did maybe one of the other mods disable them. That could be the reason for it not working.
CSI48 11. jan. 2020 kl. 20:30
avoid downloading.. i got an instant crash as soon as i added it.
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2020 kl. 15:05
@p4nda.de you can't, but that's why I've added the option to add track. You can use existing or temporary track to align your road segment. If you build two or more segments (where you use the track section to snap) you can then connect the road sections with roads and they will be perfectly parallel. After that you can delete the temporary track, or leave it if you also need a parallel rail next to your road. Screenshots should also clarify this. Hope this helps.
p4nda 11. jan. 2020 kl. 13:56
how can i snap road segments like track ?
Proud Wingman 11. jan. 2020 kl. 11:39
Basically I created my own internal not released mod for streets and highways which are much more narrow as the vanilla ones. I am going to try to update your mod and add my streets/highways. :) Thank you for your prompt replies.
FixXxeR  [ophavsmand] 11. jan. 2020 kl. 11:09
@Proud Wingman, that should do the trick loading your custom streets first and then this one (the version in which you edit the road type to refer to the custom names). let me know how it goes. I’ll keep it in mind, maybe there’s a more elegant solution
