hey @LaughingLeader this mod doesnt seem to work correctly for me anymore. When applying necrofire to anything only the debuff shows as green on characters effected by it but the hazard fire is just like the vanilla game necrofire. I dont know if there is some incompatibilty with something but i use divinity conflux. I loaded necro fire at the top and bottom of load order so im not sure whats causing it.

@Atenospark {CFRO} That's definitely not normal / expected. What's suppose to happen is the game copies mods to your documents mods folder when you launch the game, but for some people this doesn't happen, for whatever reason. Could be a permission issue, path issue, some problem with the game finding the related folders, etc.

I have a mod manager available that has an update tab to automate that process (copying mods from the workshop folder to the documents folder),.available here:

@Grizzola That's an issue with steam itself. You have to manually go into your workshop folder (D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\435150) and move those mods there to your mods folder (C:\Users\brand\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods). These mods also don't update themselves (the ones you have to move yourself) so you have to periodically check your workshop folder to see if they're updated, then you have to manually install them again.

Thank you! Take care.

Looks like the problem was I was overriding the original effect resource Hellfire/Necrofire uses. Deleted it and we should be all good.
LaughingLeader  [ophavsmand] 25. jan. 2020 kl. 12:28
@Ry Thanks, I'll take a look. Probably just a typo for the effect name.

I have the Osi extender installed and this mod. I think it removes the fire effect from The Historian on fort joy. He still has the "hellfire" status, there's just no flames on him. Not a big deal; just broke the immersion.

@Genguin47 Anything but the surface color changes requires the Osi Extender to be active, as I override the related stats in a compatible way through that.

I seem to have a bug with characters that have Necro Fire statsus, doesn't show them burning.

"If you're using a Reshade, currently there isn't a way to use both that and the extender, but support may came down the road."

For modern versions of ReShade, you can rename the ReShade "DXGI.dll" to "D3D11.dll" or "D3D10.dll" (depending on what DirectX you're using) and ReShade will function just fine; allowing you to use Osiris Extender / OsiTools without conflict.

@Doxy! The script extender that DU and this mod use are the same thing, from the same source.
LeoArcticaa 28. dec. 2019 kl. 4:53
So its more like felfire :P

Wow, thank you for such a prompt response. This time, it worked and took me directly to the download. Before I was taken to a GitHub page for your Master tools. :)

I'm very much looking forward to this now. :)
LaughingLeader  [ophavsmand] 27. dec. 2019 kl. 12:55
You can get there manually from the main repository page by clicking "Releases", "Release v28", then "OsiTools-Updater-v28.zip" under Assets.

@Michlo This link works for me:
https://github.com/Norbyte/ositools/releases/download/v28/OsiTools-Updater-v28.zip

This is the one linked to in the description. Just tested it again just now, and after clicking through Steam's "leaving site" warning, it downloaded OsiTools-Updater-v28.zip.

Hi. Thank you for this. :)

I tried also to include the extender that you mentioned. I'm probably not doing this right but at the link you included for GitHub I could only find your OsiTools master. It doesn't seem to include the file you want us to copy into the BIN directory. Please advise.

Uuuu, Dark-Purple sounds really dope! Aslo, I wish you Lau and other people here happy chirstmas and cheerful new year.
LaughingLeader  [ophavsmand] 24. dec. 2019 kl. 11:55
@Reti-Fox Same! This one was made by request, but I tend to enjoy a dark-purplish look more myself.
Retifox 24. dec. 2019 kl. 11:42
I don't have much problem distinguish poison from fire, but I really dig idea of Purple flames! ^^
LaughingLeader  [ophavsmand] 23. dec. 2019 kl. 22:01
@Vaelophis Nyx That could be arranged. I actually made a script to recolor efforts with a click, because manually replacing each color node was painful, so that could be used to make this stuff purple/violet instead.
Nyx (She/Her) 22. dec. 2019 kl. 20:42
could we perhaps get a version of this in purple, to distinguish it a bit more from poison and such?
LaughingLeader  [ophavsmand] 21. dec. 2019 kl. 19:01
If the extender is installed, you'll see green necrofire status effects, yes.
tobor8888 21. dec. 2019 kl. 18:33
Does it apply to characters with the necrofire status effect?
