Would it be possible to do something like this, but with soldiers with guns instead? Some Nazi or stray Russian draftees perhaps?

In mine they are just friendly sometimes, and other times hostile, I brought one into my castle and put it in a metal cage in case it goes hostile again :D I am using a watermod by peaceman

I only encountered the Treeants/Groots so far but the defenders are ignoring them. Though I suppose it makese sense given cross bow bolts shouldn't affect Treeants or skeletons that much.
I hope to see more added though. :) The developers should open it up for development to rework the AI if you ask me. They neglected this game, so maybe they should open it enough for others to do the work for them for donations etc. I would love to see some kind of enemy seige AI situation be it zombies or treeants or barbarians where you have to defend against a full assault as a scenario etc.

i got the multiplayer server me and a two friends play on with this mod on and about 20 other mods and it works fine.

I am listing this mod as Single player only due to many errors on MP .
@Doodle Bug Gaming a mod like this would probably need to be first on the list with anything related to it right below that, then the other mods you want to load. I am not even sure that works it is just a idea since it is loading characters first in the game before you get menu objects popping up on load

Hey could you possibly look into how this mod works with AI Defenders? It seems the the AI Defender can only detect the knight Barbarian and nothing ells. The Treeman, Zombie and Skeletons are just ignored by the AI Defender.

Update-Adjusted the loot drop on the Tree Ent from 5 to 2 logs instead.

Update-Reverted back to just one type of Tree-Ent, Skeleton and Zombie. It should work correctly now.

Sorry to tell you this but I'm still seeing the same problem. I unsubscribed and re-subscribed before starting. Loaded it and started it. Nothing changed.

Yeah. Finished testing and got the same results for skeletons and Ents.
I am guessing that it has something to do with the code itself rather than the faction.

Just tested it and found the following: Barbarians are working out fine. But Zombies are being ignored.

well I tried a couple things and im not sure how to make it work. I will update it as BARB faction like the game and see if it will make a difference for you or the defenders. I do know they are mean and all over the damn place. I played survival until it was dark. I didnt really run into anything until then. once it got dark there was torches all over the place. Sure does add to the challenge.

Game is not recognizing new enemies as threats.
The battle music does not play if a new threat is close to you unless you hit them or they you.

While this may not seem of much of a problem, it does make issues with other mods like A.I defender by Peceman. Recommend that this be changed so the game recognizes threats as intended.

This is a cool mod. I like the sound effects that you added to. :)

I think your right about the skeletons being a bit overpowering. I was at full health, got hit once and almost died. Good thing I had a bandage. On the other hand you need something really dangerous at times to challenge the player. Like a boss fight.

Is this on a server or single player? If it is a server you have to wait til it restarts. Also might try killing them so the probability can change to the next creature.

I found two bandits in the forest area and some deer but that's it. I searched for an hour and did not find anything.

yeah I am looking into the issue. I had no problems with it 4 days ago when I updated it. I was getting random monsters every time I loaded. Now I cant get them to work either and I didnt change a thing

Still trying, I only found deer and barbarians in the forest and in bamboo land.
Working with only this mod, sleep though the nights and bamboo mod.

Same Issue here. I played last night for about 6-7 hours, maybe longer, never saw a any creatures from this mod spawn. Had hostile AI turned on, set to max (30). Saw lots of normal Barbarians, lots of deer, but not one single Skeleton, Ent or Zombie.

1) Tried disabled another mod - Tough Nights - in case it might be conflicting. No effect.
2) Also tried merging contents of your mod's BotDefinitions file directly into the original code in /C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MedievalEngineers\Content\Data\Characters\AI_Barbarian, and even copied over the EntityContainers and Entity Components files for all three creatures. Still no effect.

Trying again today with core game data files restored to original, and Tough Nights still disabled. Am eager enjoy this mod! Looks like a ton of work on your part to create this, I'm just so eager to see it in game.
