I've been taking time away from all sorts of projects just to do some stuff for myself really. It's never been abandoned in any way, I just wanted a healthy chunk of time to myself to pursue other interests is all =)

I do have a few people who have volunteered their assistance in creating Sisters and Drukhari stuff, so that's happening in the background. But I'm not gonna put a date on anything as they're doing this gratis for the love of the game so to speak, so I'm not gonna rush em. But some progress is still progress, I just can't give any solid time frame on any updates and such. I'll post something here when I've got something worth sharing though I can assure you =)

@Guvenoren, yes more is on the way from what George has said over the summer. It just takes time and it was brutally hot summer weather wise where he is located so working in a sound booth would not have been a healthy decision. Things might speed up a little now that the weather is cooler but things in life take energy mental and physical with necessary recharge time on top of daily needs.

This is legit so good! I was going to check which RTS game you had taken the lines from because they sounded just like I would expect voicelines from a fairly modern 40k RTS to sound like. Keeping the same quality as large video game studios when you are not that is really impressive

@ZeratulTemplar have what TOFFster said done but by the host during your multiplayer game maybe that will reset things on your end otherwise you might have to do some sort of deep dive uninstalling any files from Gladius besides the regular uninstall method.

Mods are automatically disabled after a crash, you must re-enable them in the main menu under Extras or whatever it is

The mod stopped working on my end. Have been troubleshooting with reinstalling for several times and checking file integrity but nada.

This issue happened after I tried multiplayer Gladius, but the host apparently had mods so the game crashed on my end.

Hey I may have found a bug. There's no voiceover for the T2 tech "Vaul's Summons". Not sure if this one has a voiceover or not, but if it does it's not playing

"All units bar the recent "Onslaught Pack" unit (Sicarian Ruststalker), research and ability announcements have been voiced." I think the sicarian ruststalker isnt voiced?

Thanks George_VA on the update. Yea we just got thru a brutal start of summer here in the USA with multiple days in the hundred degree plus range before we got some relief and earlier this week we had a mini repeat of the same.Stay cool, stay healthy and keep the bathtub full and the fridge stocked with liquid delights in case of a blackout :endzone_beverage::HappyMoonman:

Hey folks, just wanted to give a little update here. I am indeed working on the mod again, currently doing both the AdMech narration lines as well as the Tyranid narration and research dialogue. Progress is coming along nicely, with all the AdMech recorded and in the process of.....well....being processed 😄

The Tyranids recordings are a little spotty at the moment as it's hotter than hell here in the UK for us lot. It's flying around the mid 30 degree C's here in places and trust me, you do not want to be in an insulated vocal booth in that heat! So I'm catching my recording sessions when it cools off a little.

But I just wanted to drop a message here and let folks that I'm on it 🙂

It is a cool mod, but ends up become annoying,i think that if units only spoke when they move or attack instead of always when selected, it would be much enjoyable.

Yee-Waagh! :craftgoblin:That's very reassuring. ;) After all, squigs are not only delicious - but also very handy for getting to places (for example: when you arerunning away) ... as long as it isn't a trip to the squig's stomach. One has to watch those big teeth closely, especially little green folks!

@Gamblor, there is also VoiceModSecundus by Runeforged who also works on TOO MANY VOICES. Along with the Sisters of Battle it has voices for the ULTRA FOUNDATION DLC and i believe a few other units for other factions but not all of them except for the Sisters and the Ultra Foundation factions:

Possible, yes. Probably quite easy for the most part. But it's not something I plan to do because those lines aren't mine to use. The whole copyright thing comes into play with ownership and such, even more so given they're both very similar games. So when the time comes I'll probably work something out myself and (hopefully), with some other actors as well.

Out of curiosity, is it possible to take voice lines from another game and incorporate them into Gladius? For instance take Sister of Battle voice lines from Battlesector and somehow integrate them, could possibly save time if feasible

Thanks Des! I mean the Imperial Guard is actually one of the oldest factions that is voiced and way overdue a revamp, but thanks regardless! 😄

The best factions to get a feel for the overall level of voiceovers would be either Orks, Chaos, Tau, Eldar, Necrons or Adeptus Mechanicus, as they are the most complete factions. I'm hopefully going to be getting back to work with this mod very soon, so fingers crossed I can start producing new voiceovers again 🙂

Dude the voice acting on the Imperial Guard is INCREDIBLE!!!
I literally got chills when the Baneblade or even guardmen say "FEEL THE MIGHT OF THE IMPERIUM!"
Havent tested out the rest yet but i imagine they are gonna be just as good and cant wait for sisters!

Hey Jeff, I probably won't be doing any actual vocals for the Vespid as to be quite honest, I've no idea where I'd start with that. And to be fair I've no idea if they even speak to begin with. As for the Hounds, I'd have to find some suitable beast growls and such. Doable but not a massive priority at the moment.

I could look into the Lord of Skulls quest, but again it's not all the way up there on the list of things to do. Because believe me, it's a long ass list! 😄

Any chance we could get voice effects for the Vespid and Kroot Hounds? Playing Tau and noticed they don't have any vocals. Also could we get a narration for the Lord of Skulls Quest?

@Fogc514, you might want to try out MORE VOICES which covers the Adeptas Sororitas and or VoiceModSecundus which covers the ULTRA FOUNDATION DLC as well as the Adeptas Sororitas and a few other units. They are all compatible with one another including TOO MANY VOICES. Just make sure to put the dominating one above all the other voice mods in the load order to get the voices you prefer. This might help with waiting while the highly professional and polished TOO MANY VOICES is updated which might not be a for awhile as this takes alot of energy, research/implementation time not to mention finances which i heard one of the team members put in at least $500 in out of pocket costs.

Must have mod. I know there are the reasons but I just wish vanilla have voiceovers out of the box.
Just one suggestion: sometimes I might close quest dialog too early which leads to skipping a voiceover. It would be great if it was possible to listen to it again. But thanks anyway :WH3_bear:

Try moving the mod in the load order to the very top of the list to see if that does anything. Its in Options, Extras, Mod. If that does not work try unsubscribing and subscribing again. Otherwise wait a bit til George or someone else on the modding team helps you which is usually pretty fast.
