@Danny115 thanks for the heads up, I fixed the link now.

zip link not working for agot mod

Honestly appreciate not having the buff be +999 to all stats. Sometimes I want an OP trait that doesn't simply trivialize every single game aspect.

thank you for the prompt reply, and good to know. ty

@PrussianGeneral add_trait Demigod
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2020 kl. 10:47
@PrussianGeneral it is possible to add the trait via console commands instead of using ruler designer
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2020 kl. 10:46
@KingWestergaard this trait is not hidden to others
SarcasticPrussia 25. maj 2020 kl. 9:50
does this NEED ruler designer, or can you run it without?
KingWestergaard 11. apr. 2020 kl. 11:40
Is the trait hidden from other like with immortality?
Xwartu 17. mar. 2020 kl. 2:14
Thanks for creating something for those of us who like to skirt on the realm of fantasy and history. Sometimes you want to be a Caesar/Pendragon you know?
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 29. feb. 2020 kl. 8:05
@Genseric123 Probably.
Genseric123 16. feb. 2020 kl. 7:12
are you planning on transferring this mod over to CK3 when it comes out?
SwagGodKingLegend 25. jan. 2020 kl. 5:08

@jojobe Elder Kings is a total conversion mod, and as such, most mods not made to support it will have issues, including this one. You can try to make the Demigod mod depend on Elder Kings by modifying the .mod file
jojobe 17. dec. 2019 kl. 19:50
sorry i meant to say female offspring. Im playing the elder scrolls mod... so that maybe part of the issue.
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 17. dec. 2019 kl. 16:51
@jojobe they are supposed to. But their children should not get it.
jojobe 17. dec. 2019 kl. 14:49
girls are getting the trait in my game.
Genseric123 21. nov. 2019 kl. 15:46
That worked and I didnt even have to start a new game! Thank you
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 21. nov. 2019 kl. 11:37
weird. could be because the child ends up having a different dynasty. you can remove the dynasty checks by removing line 135 and 139 ( "dynasty = ROOT" )
Genseric123 21. nov. 2019 kl. 10:48
I started a new game and still have the same issue.
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 21. nov. 2019 kl. 9:03
You probably have to start a new game for the change to take effect. you can manually add the trait to your bastard child with the "add_trait Demigod CHARID" console command.
Genseric123 21. nov. 2019 kl. 7:49
I erased line 143 but my bastard children still lack the demigod trait (born after the edit was made).

Am I supposed to erase more than just line 143?
Genseric123 20. nov. 2019 kl. 16:16
Thank you so much for your help
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 20. nov. 2019 kl. 15:49
Genseric123 20. nov. 2019 kl. 11:46
that's cool. Is there a line of code i can put in manually in the demigod.txt file in the mean time?
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 19. nov. 2019 kl. 8:42
@Genseric123 absolutely, but not everyone wants that. What I might do is make a game rule to choose who gets to inherit the trait.
Genseric123 19. nov. 2019 kl. 7:51
would it be possible to make bastards inherit the demigod trait as well
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 16. nov. 2019 kl. 10:20
I added a manual zip download to the bottom of the description
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 16. nov. 2019 kl. 10:15
CK2 messes up the mod file when uploading to the workshop, so the quotes around A Game of Thrones in the dependency line gets lost. This means AGOT overwrites the files in this mod. I'll probably make a separate download so you can install it manually.
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 16. nov. 2019 kl. 10:03
I think I found the problem @RoyalTech1. Seems the mod file got messed up when uploading to steam workshop. I will try reuploading it, but I might have to make a version outside steam workshop.
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 14. nov. 2019 kl. 5:46
Sorry, I'm all out of suggestions then @RoyalTech1 :steamsad:
RoyalTech1 13. nov. 2019 kl. 15:39
@glitterhoof - I usually use the agot portrait mod, so outside of that I am not sure what might be keeping the mod from working.
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. 2019 kl. 13:59
Sorry to hear that @RoyalTech1. How did you install AGOT? Do you use any AGOT submods? This problem usually comes from a mod overwriting the changes of my mod.
I have added directives to ensure my mod is loaded after AGOT, but if any submod replaces the directories needed for my mod, then it might not work. My mod also assumes that the AGOT mod is named "A Game of Thrones". If for any reason it is named differently on your system, that might cause problems too.
RoyalTech1 13. nov. 2019 kl. 12:02
@glitterhoof - Thanks for getting back to me. I tried it again recent with the most recent update and edition, and still not getting the prompt to work for me. When I enter the command into the command consule, it comes up as an unknown command for AGOT.
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 10. nov. 2019 kl. 4:26
The trait should now be inheritable from any parent as long as they have the same dynasty as the child, and the child is not a bastard.
Tate 7. nov. 2019 kl. 18:39
Ohh that'd be cool!
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 5. nov. 2019 kl. 8:32
I could make it inheritable for everyone, and make an event to remove it if the child does not have the dynasty of the parent they got it from.
Tate 5. nov. 2019 kl. 0:16
I mean it'll spread anyway, I know I'm eventually going to play a female heir so It'd make no sense if a female member of my bloodline didn't have it. Could even just put like a lower chance of gaining the bloodline or tie to an event outside of ruler designer.
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 4. nov. 2019 kl. 9:58
Why do you want enatic inheritance @TeeEight? The trait would pretty much spread like wildfire far outside your dynasty.
Tate 4. nov. 2019 kl. 3:56
Too bad its Paternal rather than for both genders
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2019 kl. 4:30
Which version of AGOT are you using @RoyalTech1? I have not tested using the ruler designer with AGOT, but adding the trait via console commands works for me on AGOT 2.0
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2019 kl. 4:29
I'll think about it @Stalin_McRally, but don't expect anything soon.
RoyalTech1 30. okt. 2019 kl. 20:36
Have tried multiple times using this mod for AGOT mod and it doesn't work for me. Any assistance?
Stalin_McRally 27. okt. 2019 kl. 10:56
yeah exactly. A matrilineal bloodline!:steamhappy:
Glitterhoof  [ophavsmand] 27. okt. 2019 kl. 6:09
@Stalin_McRally how should that trait work? All children of a male with Demigod trait already get the trait, but females don't pass it on to their children. Do you want females to get a trait that is passed down matrilineally?
Stalin_McRally 27. okt. 2019 kl. 5:21
Can you add a opposite trait for females?
