I to, tried to do some reverse engineering in other mods. But since I'm so new to the idea of modding, I find my older brain melting when I look at the files.
Be nice if the info to do so wasn't so hard to find.
I do wish you the best in your venture to figure this out.
There are three mods that I know of that will remove the invisible walls and the markers, that currently work in game.
If you need links, let me know.
I am going for barrels or poles in the lanes to mark of dead ends. But two possible options.
One option, the barrels or poles have collision, and if you hit one you get fined. This of course would have to have those devices spaced far enough apart to pass between them.
The other option is no collision, and you can pass through them.
The barrels and poles are already an asset within the vanilla files. Just figuring out how to use them for this, is the hassle.
I have actually been thinking about this too, lately.
I currently dont know enough about it.. I have tried looking at some other mods for reference, but they seem to be broken in the latest patches so not much info to gather there. I suspect its set in the 3D model itself but not sure yet

And these are hard to spot until you get close.
Would be cool if this could remove the invisible walls, but not the markers.
I'm dying for a mod that uses cones/barrels/sticks for these markers instead.
And ones that we can pass thru as an option.
Tested both SP and as optional in Convoy with no apparent issues
I was unaware of this feature. Will look into optional convoy support asap

This little mod in my opinion is a "must have". Makes map better!
