If this patch works the same as mine do, just put it in any prisoner cage or on any pole and talk to it, go through the recruitment dialogue and it should let you recruit the animal.
After it becomes hungry it just says that takes the meat and almost got my arm
But oh my, I was trying to capture their boss, first had a runner scout around to find him, no problems at first, just one or two beak things that he easily got rid of. A few days later, I'm going there with a subjugation squad, ready to take losses for a legendary companion, and find him surrounded by a -literal- dozen beak things tearing him apart. Apparently the whole nest nearby decided to pay a visit. A bit later and they'd been picking the meat off his bones. Thankfully, my grievewraiths (including the matriarch, called her Sovereign) took care of them. I really panicked about what would have been had I arrived a day later.
