@TheAmazingBlitzø78 Extract default 'particles' folder from 'left4dead2', 'left4dead2_dlcX', 'update' pak01_dir.vpks into 'left4dead2' folder (you'll be prompted to overwrite some pcf files with newer ones, do it). Launch Left 4 Dead 2 Authoring Tools > Left 4 Dead 2 (Tools Mode) > Tools > Particle Editor. Find fire particles and change their colors. Pack your edited pcfs into a vpk and you're done.

Or you can just subscribe to the green fire add-on .

Would it be possible to have a version of this without the effects for firing guns? I'm asking because I have a mod that gives the guns laser firing effects and both versions of this conflict with the laser guns.

Check out my conversation with Fruittymcnutty. He solved his problem by deleting the add-on that was indirectly conflicting with this one.

I have tried many mods that can change the flame's color.
Of course I did not make them work together.

But none of them succeed.

@風花慕越 If 2 or more add-ons are conflicting with each other, the one installed first (that is higher on the addonlist than others) will take priority and prevent add-ons installed later from overwriting its files.
It's always been like this. Nothing to do with the update (because this mod is not broken).

@D4nny This add-on should work on its own. If it doesn't, then it probably conflicts with other particle mod.
