Oskar fyi, Desert Tortoise, Eggs Must Be Fertilized = Yes, but Desert Tortoise Egg (unfert.) exists in stockpile lists, and I would guess then also, as part of random resource drop lists, though I haven't had that occur.

I'm also seeing the Mod Manager error reporting that Vanilla Expanded Framework is required. Some of your mod pages state we need and others don't - not clear if we need it or not.

A quick check, but the in game mod manager seems to say that this needs vanilla expanded framework. However that's not stated in here and the mod itself seems to work fine without it. Same with extreme desert animals.

Yes some animals are not patched yet I think in the dev log I see just a half of them pathed by EASY dog patch

Might I suggest Ringtails (Bassariscus astutus) when you get around to temperate forests? They're also found here and in mountains, but they're quite adaptable creatures. (Also one that many people have not heard of or even seen despite living right near them, as they are nocturnal and wary of humans by nature. Also, they spray like skunks, which could also be worth looking into.)

Heya bud, dunno if this is a bug or not but in my game whenever I try to rename desert tortoises , they just don't get renamed, can't rename them, I can press backspace and see the indicator moving but all that remains is "desert tortoise 1"
any idea what's up with that?

In CE some of these leathers are better than hyperweave, with no downside while being much cheaper. Kind of broken imo.

Can we get a heftier animal extension? It's murder on my load times to have dozens of mods just adding 3 animals at a time but I crave the variety!!

Noticed that I'm unable to add bionics to my lion, but I can to my coyote from the arid shrubland version. I have ADS and the easy patcher loaded before all vanilla animals expanded mods.

Hiya. i notice a bug where i could leave an outpost or encounter while caravaning until i killed all the animals (not part of outpost, just wild). its happening with the animals from these mods. Is this a known issue?

This mod and the Extreme Desert one (among your Vanilla Animals Expanded mods) are currently overwriting vanilla files, which can cause some compatibility issues.

To be more specific:

1 - The "Vanilla Animals Expanded — Desert" is overwriting "Bite" in the ThingsDefs file - I assume this is related to the gila monster poison bite mechanic.

2 - The "Vanilla Animals Expanded — Extreme Desert" is overwriting "Dromedary" in the ThingsDefs file.


Both are likely minor problems. But if at all possible, not overwriting Vanilla stuff would probably help avoiding problems on large mod lists.

Alright a venom mechanic indeed sounds great, but do any of the other animals, in all of the animals expanded series, have anything else unique about them that makes it worth adding them?

How disrespectful. These animals don't exist in Vanilla, I have decided to add them from scratch, I don't really know what unique mechanics you expect but Gila monster has a venomous bite.

There seems to be a problem with the hyenas. I've noticed that they attack people or animals that are hurt, and I've had the unfortunate luck of a group of them having attacked a traveler, lowering relations. But the problem is that if one hyena is hurt the other ones attack it, which in turn hurts the other ones so they attack each other. I had entire packs of wild hyenas wiping themselves out in this manner.

Posting this all the "Vanilla - Expanded" threads.. I have all of them active and I now have THREE versions of "horse meat" in my storage.

Need to review the code for all the mods and make it the same type of horsemeat to not have extra 'fluff' in the game. Thanks!

This mod doesn't add donkeys, and the one from my series that does (Farm animals) allows them to be farm animals. You must have confused the mod authors.
