Network Dump Tools

It seems this sometimes does not dump data properly. I've tried to dump segment "largebuslane" from road "Six-Lane Road with Tram Tracks, Bus and Bycicle Lanes" (After Dark), and then merely trying to use the dumped again in the segment again loses the red bus lane color. Doing the same with Mod Tools worked fine.
Pineapple Brain 10. aug. 2024 kl. 20:19
Unfortunately, this tool cannot dump speculars and normals apparently, so roads no longer shine, and don't have depth even reimport immediately.
It's still a good tool tho, for easy road extraction.
Appreciate your effort but I would extract items w modtools and open import folder w this tool :steamhappy:

Wow! Thanks for the update!

Can confirm it's broken, it says it can't find the mesh when you try to dump it.
Señor Mustacho 25. mar. 2023 kl. 3:23
Seems to be broken after recent game update.
JP 6. jan. 2023 kl. 2:56
Still working well. Don't forget to set the scale to 100 on import!
Evil Dave of Canada 29. maj 2022 kl. 16:26
@Graf The person to ask that question to is Cylis. He created all the stand alone assets allowing people to no longer having to subscriber to Nextwork Extensions 2.
Graf 28. maj 2022 kl. 16:54
Is there a way to quickly copy props and lane values etc between normal, elevated, tunnel, and bridge in the normal road editor settings? I just simply want the same thing at all levels without copying everything over and over.
djbon2112 14. apr. 2022 kl. 23:42
Also getting the same error as SanditeSpartan117 when trying to dump an existing custom road (though not that one).
SanditeSpartan117 27. mar. 2022 kl. 22:37
I tried dumping the file of a workshop asset (BIG Urban Road) to create some bicycle lanes and I got this error saying it couldn't dump.

@CLB314

shifting lanes over eachother doesn't work in that way, the networks are built with traffic assigned a distance out from the center (0). the closest you'll get is creating a node between 2 points and using IMT to mark the switch and TM:PE to get the traffic to switch from the section on the 1 side to the other. same is true for other lines like if you want a bus-lane to go from the outside to the inside of a 6-lane (3-3) road
Vadicus 21. jan. 2022 kl. 3:27
Great mod. Really simplifies the whole dumping process. Modtools is great but a bit clunky. I'm surprised no one has created an in depth road creation guide on YouTube or whatever. I always have issues with nodes and end nodes. Thanks Cgameworld, I know you made a short guide, but eally hoping for an advanced one. Trial and error is so time consuming. Cheers.
CLB314 2. sep. 2021 kl. 17:56
Can you use this to shift a median over one lane?
jgerstel.geo 14. aug. 2021 kl. 7:36
Great mod :-) However I have an issue with lods. When network is dumped it created *_lod.obj which has different behavior than the master obj file. This causes the reloading of lod png files to fail. Workaround is to copy the master obj file to the lod obj file, but then that could have performance impact, too many obj points. Is there a way you can fix this and create a better lod obj file?

Great mod, thank you very much!
CaptainAnonymous 6. juni 2021 kl. 10:38
@Cgameworld Thank you for this mod. I've been trying to change the surface heights of roads to -0.1m instead of the usual -0.3, but Its not working for me. Is there any way you can help me?
Cgameworld  [ophavsmand] 1. juni 2021 kl. 13:42
@shadowoner00013 This mod is compatible with ModTools, there are no issues using them together
shadowoner00013 30. maj 2021 kl. 14:38
I'm guessing this mod is not compatible with ModTools, right? Because I got fed up with roads showing up in wrong tabs, and I want to fix that, and AFAIK that is only possible with ModTools.
Into 22. maj 2021 kl. 17:21
I can't find a proper Tutorial on how to use this mod or how to make roads, need help.
Giorno 9. mar. 2021 kl. 0:34
Can I use it to turn two lanes into four lanes?
notauseranymore 14. feb. 2021 kl. 11:51
Great mod which I use a lot.
If you try to dump the National Road with lods, and reimport the files, the lod gets a bit to wide. Any suggestions?
AmiPolizeiFunk 21. jan. 2021 kl. 6:41
great mod, thx so much! :highlvl:

Does someone know when i want export custom worksho networks i very much like to change the textures e.g. Road Markings of them these are always the same from start for example i exportet a 4 Lane Highway Mesh from workshop but its diffuse and grayscale texture is the same as the previour 3 Lane Highway of the same theme the workshopper provided. Really confusing, how i get the matching Textures that representates the actually Road?

This mod doesn't work. It keeps giving me an error message whenever I try to dump a network.
THZ 12. okt. 2020 kl. 7:37
:steamhappy: Thanks very much, I am using it to make roads. Although there is a small issue, I only have to restart C:SL twice to see this mod appear in the asset editor. I still give it 10/10. And....Could you make a “Vehicle Dump Tool” mod? Something like that. Or... we had that already?
Wojtas 9. okt. 2020 kl. 5:53
View Mesh Points is always blank. No matter what.
B.A.F 2. okt. 2020 kl. 9:54
How do you use this with canal node?
TennSeven 20. juni 2020 kl. 22:21
I ran into an issue where it will not dump any elevation except "Basic". I started the asset editor with a new asset and selected the "Two-Lane One-Way Road". Basic elevation dumps fine, but trying to dump either "Elevated," "Bridge," or "Slope" gives me an error like this:

System.Exception: Elevated Elevation Does Not Exist

Minor issue I hit with the mesh points: the small bike lane road shows as having vertexes at "8.4", but according to the dumped .obj it's actually "8.43999900", so the mesh resizing doesn't actually work. Maybe the resizing should use the same rounding as in the display of the points?
Allystrya 10. maj 2020 kl. 3:41
Can't wait to try it :) I had started having issues and stopped using it.

v.1.2 Update Released!

Changes:

-Added optional NetInfo xml exporting (for use in VictoriaCity’s upcoming RoadImporter mod)
-Added toggle for default texture skipping
-Added option to generate lod pngs at the same time as dumping
-Added warning if “Texture Quality” in vanilla settings is not set to “High”
-View mesh points now opens with single click initially
-Fixed dropdown arrow locations
domyellow 3. maj 2020 kl. 15:39
The mesh points part simply does not work. What exactly is the sequence to get it to work? I literally follow exactly as in the YouTube video but the Mesh Points is blank and it comes up with ''Debug console''.
pawel.n.g-ow 30. apr. 2020 kl. 20:12
MrKpter, It also happened to me like you, but I opened it in gimpie and scaled the image from the import folder to 64x64 when tested in the game was successful
notauseranymore 24. apr. 2020 kl. 10:35
Great mod! I only have one issue: The National Road, and the highways dumps a 2048 pixel image, and I just can't get the LOD to fit whatever ii try to do. Any tips?
Jean Michel 19. apr. 2020 kl. 11:12
@jeremy.thunder, you have ModTool for building and others to dump
jeremy.thunder 19. apr. 2020 kl. 9:21
love this mod! idk if its physically possible but it'd be cool to have a simple tool like this to dump/re-import textures for buildings
notauseranymore 12. apr. 2020 kl. 15:41
Great mod. Thank you so much!
Jean Michel 12. apr. 2020 kl. 1:14
Hello and thank you for your mod and its source code

I managed to modify the mesh points and In fact he does not like float (ex -18.5)
Several points are disordered:
PointListView [www.casimages.com]

Maybe at line 137 in PointListView:
if (Mathf.Approximately(meshVertices[a].z, 32f))
??

Do you have a solution?

thank you in advance
karl 2. apr. 2020 kl. 11:50
very useful tool. the road editor is boring holes in my brain however. thanks for the tutorials too.
Cgameworld  [ophavsmand] 27. mar. 2020 kl. 12:29
@Dayradon No, It’s compatible with Sunset Harbor
Dayradon 27. mar. 2020 kl. 8:33
Does this need to be updated to work with the Sunset DLC? Considering subscribing, but I'd rather not add something that might cause errors etc.?
M8asonmiller 22. mar. 2020 kl. 13:04
hi, it's sort of working for me, but when I resize the mesh to bring the sidewalks in (i'm removing a lane from the medium road) it stretches the texture of the sidewalks instead of bringing them straight up. Any idea what's going on? Thanks
Admiral Electron 20. mar. 2020 kl. 13:12
Sometimes 'view mesh points' option in mesh resizing just doesn't work. Any idea why it happens? I'm extremely new to this mod.
