Looks like all is very quiet in CivFanatics, especially in Civ V creation and customization. Since @JFD no longer works on the JFDLC modpack (that includes RtP and CulDiv), I'm afraid it is already in a sad state as this one is already at the end of the line.

Discord is out of my question. There is nothing left of any use.
nlinzer 28. dec. 2020 kl. 18:57
Are any custome civs not compatible with this mod? I'm specfically thinking about Leugi's Israel Civ
nicovallejos 27. nov. 2020 kl. 1:07
@JFD

I have informed the mod author of Renaissance Era Revised, Zwei833, that the certain mods especially the Mercenaries, Cities in Development and Piety, whom those mods are part of the old versions of RtP that Renaissance Era Revised supports; is no longer supported.

This mod is really great, but unfortunately, I was forced to stop playing because I cannot end my turn. When I adopted my ideology, the game glitched, allowing me to select all my ideological tenants in one turn. The game is now stuck on "Choose Policy", but I have no option to choose any more social or ideological policies. This is really unfortunate! I hope this mod is fixed!
JFD  [ophavsmand] 13. okt. 2020 kl. 3:01
Not at the moment, no.
NoAttempt 12. okt. 2020 kl. 23:45
Is Cities in Development still a part of this?
Eblow 2. juli 2020 kl. 12:31
your modz r amazing. But I am yet again ztuck on Chooze olicy, unable to end my turn. I obzerve otherz have identical izzue.
Eblow 1. juli 2020 kl. 13:52
Thank You.
Полинкаж (Polinkazh) 21. juni 2020 kl. 17:46
I'm still dealing with the stuck on Free Policy issue even after the update
Полинкаж (Polinkazh) 3. juni 2020 kl. 19:20
@JFD thanks for the response, though tbh I wish you still just had the full modpack updated, I liked it when it was all interconnected. But thanks for your hard work anyway.
Brad Marchand 1. juni 2020 kl. 14:24
Oh thanks JFD
arieviloj 1. juni 2020 kl. 11:15
There is some difference from using steam CP or CivFanatics CP?
JFD  [ophavsmand] 1. juni 2020 kl. 9:34
You shouldn't be using the Rise to Power from CivFanatics, that is now obsolete and is incompatible with these mods here.
Brad Marchand 1. juni 2020 kl. 7:30
Hi guys, I'm quite new to this mod. For some reason, I cannot form a government. I do get the alert saying that I can though. The goverment screen doesn't give me an option or whatsoever. I do have the minimum package in terms of mods. The load order should be this (based on in-game mods list):

(1) Community Patch (v 89) *From Steam, not VP on CivFanatics*
JFD's Rise to Power (v 54) *From CivFanatics*
JFD's Rise to Power - (1) (Core) Utilities (v 6) *From Steam*
JFD's Rise to Power - (3) (Gameplay) Cultural Ideals (v 1) *From Steam*

I'm pretty sure the reason for this issue is simple and dump.
JFD  [ophavsmand] 29. maj 2020 kl. 15:23
No, that was part of a different collection of mods. It is still available but incompatible with the Rise to Power collection here.
EPC123 29. maj 2020 kl. 14:16
So dumb question, but didn't there used to be a mod called "Gameplay: Nationalism" in this pack which allowed you to choose cultures twice? Why has it been deleted?
Codorna Tecnicolor 26. maj 2020 kl. 18:06
im running civ on linux with only this pack of mods, except the one that needs the community patch because this makes my game crash.

BUT

whenever i get enough faitth to gain a great prophet the game crashes
Jiang Zemin 21. maj 2020 kl. 19:59
What are the differences between this and the JFDLC on CivFanatics? Can they be used together?
PUPORYXBE 16. maj 2020 kl. 13:20
JFD this is all my lua log says

tongthrone 15. maj 2020 kl. 23:01
Hay. I found a problem bug Unlimited social policies when this mod Run with Community Patch (v89).
JFD  [ophavsmand] 15. maj 2020 kl. 22:51
If you're running into trouble reloading you'll need to post the contents of your lua log
Zachriel 14. maj 2020 kl. 22:00
thanks for the update JFD I was running sovereignty and I've been running some tests. good to know this was the reason though
PUPORYXBE 14. maj 2020 kl. 2:03
Hey. is it normal that I can't load games? if I do the government screen pops up and I can't close it
JFD  [ophavsmand] 13. maj 2020 kl. 23:02
Running Sovereignty? I've found an issue related to culture costs caused by it and have fixed it for the next update, which should be coming out in the next few days.
Zachriel 13. maj 2020 kl. 19:20
I think something is wrong with the social policies still, whenever you get a free social policy adoption it doesnt seem to register that its been gained. I think its due to the idiologies
Ronald Dump 7. maj 2020 kl. 6:05
im having a weird problem. One of my units (a legion) disappears when i end the turn if i fortify it or put it on alert. I know it happens only on this specific unit and i put it on alert in previous turns without any problems. So something must have happened during the game to cause this behaviour. Also the fortify until healed option doesnt show up. I have never seen this bug before so i assume one of the RTP mods is causing it
Giovano 30. apr. 2020 kl. 11:28
@123nick You juste have to disable (RTP)(UI) Tech Tree mod from the mod list to make it work
Zachriel 30. apr. 2020 kl. 10:34
I'm running into some problems with this mod list, I cant seem to open the social policies tab
123nick 28. apr. 2020 kl. 0:13
how do i fix this research menue bug? i dont know what causes it, but every time i try too play civ 5 modded, i see it. https://i.imgur.com/fNibdB1.png

how do i know which ones too pick and use with eachother?
Tryford 26. apr. 2020 kl. 6:32
Can't rush greatness.

Take your time, it'll be worth the wait.
JFD  [ophavsmand] 25. apr. 2020 kl. 22:18
Whilst you're not wrong, Polinkazh is referring to those concepts as they appeared in JFDLC. Whilst there is a striking and at times discomforting similarity between the Iska and JFDLC implementation of these concepts, that doesn't mean mine specifically won't be coming at some point.

Health and Plagues is one of the first things I want to get out after some other projects I'm working on, but Crimes was one of those components that needed deep revision. Levies and Provinces are sort of tied together and I'm not sure when they're be coming out separately. The main hold-up is how difficult it is to separate each of those components from each other since in JFDLC they were deeply interconnected. Moreover, there are other compatibility concerns I have to deal with to fit into the new RTP scheme (particularly with replacing the City View and ToolTips, which can't be done lightly).
nicovallejos 25. apr. 2020 kl. 20:52
@Полинкаж (Polinkazh)

But I think @Iska and Ismet got his hands already on plagues, crimes, and colonies. Not only that, he has his hands on civic policies, dark ages, loyalty, holy wars, world wars, cold wars, and corporations.

Have to take note now that Iska's Empires Ascendant will not be compatible with the entirely of Rise to Power and have to be blocked.
Sliver Sentinel 25. apr. 2020 kl. 3:56
is any one having problems loading up a a previous saved game with the mods? it brings up govermenty overlay and wont close?
Полинкаж (Polinkazh) 24. apr. 2020 kl. 20:20
When will you release plagues and crime, towns, levies?
arieviloj 24. apr. 2020 kl. 10:43
Old bug. The notification "A reform can be passed" appears even if a government has not been established.
ScottRastyles 23. apr. 2020 kl. 1:06
Do these work with Vox Populi?
JFD  [ophavsmand] 22. apr. 2020 kl. 1:18
Yes
AFLD 19. apr. 2020 kl. 11:12
Are your civs compatible with this modpack?
JFD  [ophavsmand] 18. apr. 2020 kl. 16:46
Yeah that wiki doesn't correspond to what's here, it refers to the Rise to Power from years and years ago.
Samael 18. apr. 2020 kl. 15:19
I meant to say dignitaries, not caliphate. my bad. I was reading the wiki and saw the following ; "With Claims, you may expend Dignitaries to peacefully annex a City-State." Forgive my ignorance, I just am eager to use this feature. any help is greatly appreciated, as I have not seen any mention of either claims nor dignitaries in my game.
JFD  [ophavsmand] 17. apr. 2020 kl. 16:30
The Caliphate is as a government in Sovereignty. Magistrates isn't added by anything.
Samael 17. apr. 2020 kl. 13:39
Reading the descriptions of each; I don't see a mention of great magistrates or caliphates. What module adds those? Also I've been playing until the industrial era with no sign of both caliphates and magistrates. Do they start later in the game?
JFD  [ophavsmand] 14. apr. 2020 kl. 12:50
I'll take a look into it when I can.
fuzzyduck 14. apr. 2020 kl. 4:22
Hello JFD,

First, thank you for the mods they are great. I really like playing Civ V again. However, I have the same problem as some of the other players are commenting on. After getting a free social policy I can't progress to the next turn. Also I can't use great philosophers when I complete a social tree.

Thank you for all the mods you have made all these years.

Greetz Fuzzy Duck

Yes
Полинкаж (Polinkazh) 6. apr. 2020 kl. 22:29
I'm not using spirit ideology if you're asking me.
JFD  [ophavsmand] 6. apr. 2020 kl. 18:50
Is that with the Spirit Ideology mod?
GandalfTheGay 6. apr. 2020 kl. 3:48
Hello JFD.

The mods are great. It greatly improves the game experiense. I only runed into one problem. When I get my first policy from my culture after geting the free tenets, I get 3 or 4 policys and then it doesn't disapear, I can't progress the turn.
Kebobez 31. mar. 2020 kl. 16:32
I second Полинкаж's claim, getting deep into a campaign with all this mods got me to the point where I could not dismiss notifications and was not able to end the round. More specifically, I recall having the Rise to Power - Cycle of Powers notifications creating the issues. Thank you
