For genesis players: Just download this and put it after genesis in the modlist and the backpacks will be unnerfed

this backpack is probably one of my favorite items cause they just look so good and useful, however on july 5 they are a big R.I.P for genesis mod overhaul players.
i had to reimport my game to then realize that genesis kenshi just screwed those backpacks so hard,
old Hi-Ker backpack XL:
Encumbrance reduction 60%
Combat skill bonus -6

Dodge skill effect 0.45x

new one (thanks to genesis)

(internal size got removed by 75% it feels like, its like half the inventory size of the player.)
single handedly the worst update i've seen, i wish we could revert steam workshop mods ._.

they also removed the small ones for no reason, so i lost them from my hivers that were holding 3 of those in their back.

Genesis nerfed their version of this so hard

Nice looking backpacks, I especially like the desert beige as it fits the desert drifter look

Loving the design and the stats are fairly balanced with the vanilla backpacks offering good choices. But how do I make these backpacks stack mats like the vanilla backpacks do?

i dont know why, but items in backpack doesn't stak. I use them on genesis, so maybe it just genesis can stak items inside.

In order to edit mods in FCS you have to cut and paste the workshop mod folders into the kenshi/mods folder, then rename each modfolder to the name of the mod.

very cool mod, wish items stacked, I am attempting to use the FCS to edit it for myself so that they will, however none of my mods through Steam appear in the FCS, I am unsure if this is something about Kenshi being installed on an extetrnal Hard drive or just something Im doing wrong, thank you for all the work yall modders put into things :)

No, you should change the "stackable bonus minimum" setting instead of "stackable bonus mult". I experimented and found out that "stackable bonus mult" multiplies the possible stack of an item, which is why stacks of items don't work correctly. (because of this, books were stacked with 64 items instead of 16)

In short, change the setting "stackable bonus minimum"

I really like the look of the backpack but I don't know how to make items inside the backpack stackable in FCS. Do I just edit the stackable bonus minimum and stackable bonus mult?

@Your_Neighbor You can always edit the mod to make it stackable. once you open up the mod in FCS its super easy to make it stackable since there an option for stacking.

I played genesis, but there you can stack items. Why can't this be done in the original mod? Is it impossible to do that, or am I doing something wrong? I really liked the backpacks in this mod because of their capacity, I would really like to see the ability to stack items.

I'm with Drafura on this one, I tried Genesis out and the load penalties forced me to stop using it, but the hikers backpacks were great. Any chance why these don't stack on the standalone version?

I don't understand, with genesis those have stackable capabilities and with the standalone mod there's no more stackable capabilities. Any plans on making those backpacks with the stackable items in the standalone version ?

I encountered this mod through the Genesis mod.
Could you add in the description how big you can make the item stacks in the backpack?
I can see from the video that the storage space is 20 x 12, like the Large Backpack, but what is with the value of the backpacks in your pictures?
The one XL I encountered was realistically 4 000 c, unless it's got stacking capabilities. Then it would have been a steal.
Couldn't afford it in the early game, so I don't know exactly how the backpack works yet with stacking. The price in your pictures is realistic; if it allows you to stack items....

Any chance you could make a 'dirty' version? I think it would fit even better.
Even just a more desaturated texture would make it look 'worn.'

i always find it weird that you can get a traders backback for 800 that fits more stacked stuff then these ones that look doper but stack less. so i would probly just get the traders backpack because they stack more. other then that the backs looks awesome.

Beautiful artwork, but I find it hard to use them due to the increased stat penalties on a few. Would be great if they were slightly more penalizing that vanilla packs in exchange for more room or slight increases in other stats.

ok but what makes this backpack different from others, like is it a normal bag but colored?

I love the look of these things. A+ modeling and texture work. Sadly, the price is a killer -- several times the cost of vanilla packs, with little to no change in stats. I just can't justify paying for one.

Wears ragged clothes but the backpack looks like it was just bought on sale from a luxury class store ^_^
