@ZzzZombo I cannot make it an option without adding additional dependencies. I'm going to remove feeding prisoners from this version and make a different patch for feeding prisoners. I'll add a link to the warden version in the description for those that want it.

My entire PC destroyed itself, so I'm trying to get everything reinstalled and running again.
ZzZombo 9. nov. kl. 18:40
@Darth_Sergeant: please make this an option.
Krysla 8. nov. kl. 21:25
I think nurses should feed the patients, if we're looking into anything efficiency wise, you want your nurses taking care of your patients, the Doctors and Surgeons committing to the majority of advanced treatments.
Senor Smoke 1. nov. kl. 23:32
theres a mod called Personal Work Categories. it takes a minute but it lets you set this up for every job that doesn't actually use a skill. you can cram every single sub-job from every category that doesn't require skills or give XP (passing prisoners food, penning animals ect) into the Basic category and then stick Basic way ahead of everything except firefighting, recieving treatment and doctoring.
ZzZombo 17. okt. kl. 0:34
Well, I want this to be an option and not forced upon all players, including me.
Luka 16. okt. kl. 6:07
Personally I thought that warden especially have so much ♥♥♥♥ to do in the game and I like to have non specialized pawns do that stuff. And who said Rimworld was ever "realistic" anyways lol, even Vanilla. I personnally think it makes sense for a nurse to feed anyone, and why would a social pawn need to do that (other than the fact it is dangerous I suppose, but then again a social pawn isn't necessarily a warrior)
ZzZombo 15. okt. kl. 18:05
But why do nurses feed non-bedridden prisoners? IRL that's the job of jailors.

Nice update
Luka 15. okt. kl. 15:21
Oh that's super neat!!! Thanks a lot! I'll study how you did it to try and understand for potential future patches I'd have to do on other mods. Thanks again!!
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 15. okt. kl. 14:49
@Luka

Not sure why your patch did not properly populate without further details. I've just posted a new update that includes "administer metal" and "deliver metal" into the Nursing Job.

I've also added "feed prisoners" into the nurse job as well as requested.
Luka 15. okt. kl. 10:57
Also, since I'm here, would it be in the realm of possibility to also put the "feed prisoners" in the nurse job? That'd be perfect!
Luka 15. okt. kl. 10:41
Hey thanks for the mod! So I'm using Alpha Genes and I was wondering about the "administer metal" contained in the Doctoring work. I went and tried to make a "patch" by copying Dubs" one and changing a few things. In game however, the text doesn't say, in the work tab, that "administer metal" is in the Nurse. It's still in the Doctoring. No biggie, but I could get some help figuring out how to change that? And could be a useful patch to add if the author wants to do it, as I think Alpha Genes is fairly popular. That's it, thanks in advance for any help!

Thank you for the update!
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 26. apr. kl. 17:35
@Drago Duval

The job should have a dependency on "Caring". I copied whatever requirements they had when they were nested under the Doctor job.
Drago Duval 26. apr. kl. 17:14
Good mod, any way to make a config so that they depend on Social instead of nothing ?
Squishyjellyfish 10. feb. kl. 22:35
awesome thanks for the reply :)
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 10. feb. kl. 17:34
@Squishyjellyfish

Never tested it, but it should. Any modifications follow vanilla job conventions and should therefore be okay in theory.
BOT Ghostie 31. aug. 2024 kl. 17:13
I love this mod sooo much. Tried playing a game with a minimal mod list and didn't add this mod. Didn't realize that doctors needed to be the ones to feed patients. Ended up with patients starving to death!
Agrotera 鬼 15. juli 2024 kl. 20:18
That’s part of what is so good about this mod. It adds more control.
Nightfish 3. juli 2024 kl. 12:50
Alright cool :D I just wanted to be sure since I seem to remember that a similar mod I tried in the past just added the nurse as a new job but the doctor was unchanged.
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 3. juli 2024 kl. 12:13
@Nightfish

Yes. It uses the replace rather than add to remove the tasks from the doctor job.
Nightfish 2. juli 2024 kl. 7:58
I'm sorry if this should be obvious, but does this mod "remove" all of the things the nurse job does from the doctor job?
Agrotera 鬼 6. juni 2024 kl. 18:52
Wow! Thank you! No apologies necessary~

:p2chell:
andydig 19. maj 2024 kl. 5:49
thank you for updating!
amefurashi 17. maj 2024 kl. 20:58
I was waiting for you. thank you for update!
Now I can finally be freed from the task of stopping a child with zero medical skills from running into a hospital room with glittertech medicine and expensive prosthetics.
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 16. maj 2024 kl. 21:26
Sorry for the delay getting to this; I haven't been playing and Steam did not send me any notifications about people waiting for an update.

I had originally been waiting to see if there were any major game changes that required further tweaking. I'll go in and update it!
shart 21. apr. 2024 kl. 19:25
It doesn't change anything about the mod other than deactivating the warnings in Rimpy. The author says the mod is compatible so if the big red text bothers you, you can remove it. The red text does not bother me any, so I usually dont bother.
Agrotera 鬼 17. apr. 2024 kl. 20:05
Maybe the author wants to wait to do the final update until it's been found to be fully compatible with the new version.
Kingdark 15. apr. 2024 kl. 2:05
It might be a nuisance to update, not enough to make it worth the trouble of updating a single text edit? At least with this game, it's fairly straightforward to 'fix' with the help of rimpy I Mean. there are other games, that have the same problem. only the update number is wrong, the rest is still functional.

But with those games (stellaris, HoI4, Ck3 ..) it doesn't have a method to open the right folder right away. You have to find the mod ID then you have to find it in your folder which is much more time consuming. Then again, it could be the crappy launcher too.

But solarius scroch is right though. I've updated it now, but later on, it's possible this mod (and others) I fixed this way, may give a problem and well... I would have to have all mods re-downloaded for it to fix itself.
Solarius Scorch 15. apr. 2024 kl. 1:51
That's true, however it sounds like bad practice in the long run. Why not simply update the official mod? I don't quite get it.
shart 14. apr. 2024 kl. 12:25
Kingdark, if you go into rimpy and right click NurseJob and then "open folder", go to the "About" folder, open "About" xml file, and find where it says "<supportedVersions>" (5th line down from the top for this mod), you can add another line right under where it says "<li>1.4</li>" and just type "<li>1.5</li>", save and reload rimpy and it should be fine. I am only used to modding skyrim though so please correct me if im wrong!!
Kingdark 13. apr. 2024 kl. 16:35
it says its incompatible in rymy mod manager though. is there a way for me to change that?
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 30. mar. 2024 kl. 9:53
This should still work fine in 1.5 as far as I am aware. If it's completely broken, please let me know.
man_of_belief 28. dec. 2023 kl. 7:19

BOT Ghostie 27. feb. 2023 kl. 16:29
Quite enjoy this mod. Some people bullied me and said this mod is not necessary and covered in vanilla already, but I call those people wrong. :)
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 19. feb. 2023 kl. 20:23
It shouldn't deviate from the behavior you'd get without this mod on. It splits the job into two, but the actions themselves remain unchanged.
Catch Lightning 19. feb. 2023 kl. 19:41
What happens in unison with Smart Medicine since Smart Medicine tends on the spot?
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 18. feb. 2023 kl. 19:31
Looks like they're working properly now.

Just booted up a game with a paramedic bot. Spawned and downed a colonist. Paramedic bot carried them to medical spot and treated the wounds. A few hours later, the bot brought the colonist a packaged survival meal.

The only mods active were this and one of my other ones with raid values.
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 7. feb. 2023 kl. 20:08
Mech_Paramedic had a patch to add Nursing jobs to its enabled work types. Must not actually be adding the job type.
Catch Lightning 6. feb. 2023 kl. 16:15
They are not different bots. I suspect it is only able to do jobs under the heading of doctoring. We need a mod to prioritize how bots do tasks.
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 6. feb. 2023 kl. 16:09
I have not played new expansion yet. Are the Rescue Bots different from the Med Bots? I'll try looking at my patches again and try to update this in future once I find what's missing.
hedgehog 4. feb. 2023 kl. 2:14
@Darth_Sergeant I have a similar problem. The rescue robot cannot take care of the feeding panw
Catch Lightning 31. jan. 2023 kl. 2:31
Behavior is inconsistent. I disabled the mod once I determined it was the thing not causing rescue. It would be nice if it rescued before tending with smart medicine depending on the bleed out time.
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 28. jan. 2023 kl. 19:58
@Catch Lightning. Will they do other Nursing tasks?

I added Nursing to paramedic bots the last time I patched. Curious if all tasks are broken or just rescue in particular.
Catch Lightning 28. jan. 2023 kl. 4:32
Makes paramedic bots not rescue. They'll treat but not rescue. Maybe put rescue in under both doctoring and nursing instead?
Veenuhs 26. dec. 2022 kl. 10:25
Great mod but for some reason when I have it installed my doctors will only use herbal medicine. Any idea why?
Darth_Sergeant  [ophavsmand] 8. dec. 2022 kl. 18:34
Possible, probably yes, but I do not currently know how to add options to a mod to make it toggleable.
kongkim 8. dec. 2022 kl. 16:56
Nice mod, but is it possible to make an option so the Nurse can do normal "medic" jobs but not surgeries?
