Also is there a way that we could keep our existing culture after becoming a dragon?
Lester The Terran 26. maj kl. 13:11
Hey so just a heads up, I keep getting pestered to crown myself even after I was crowned as a dragon. I think its a glitch.
theholyoctavian 19. jan. kl. 12:21
i'm a bit late, but you should add a "kick member" option for dungeon masters, just a thought
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 29. dec. 2024 kl. 17:52
Can't say for sure, there's some setup it does when the game begins to have existing members, not sure if it does this for existing saves
Sergio 29. dec. 2024 kl. 8:07
can i activate this mid game or should I start a new one?
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 6. nov. 2023 kl. 0:20
This isn't designed for AGOT, although judging by comments here it shouldn't be too hard to modify it to suit
taesunwoo 5. nov. 2023 kl. 13:17
I'll have to check this out on a new AGOT Targaryen run. based
petdoc1991 2. nov. 2023 kl. 20:29
@Kilakon Thanks! I plan to use it in a umbra mod with agot and this idea is really cool. :winter2019joyfultearsdog:
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2023 kl. 4:32
@petdoc1991 Sure, although I think most of the original stuff came from Heroes 3 or Google
petdoc1991 17. okt. 2023 kl. 21:52
Hello! I like this mod alot would it be ok if i use the assets from your mod?
taesunwoo 27. feb. 2023 kl. 8:55
Dumb question incoming but can this be used with AGOT?
epicgamer 29. juni 2022 kl. 9:43
yeah I already figured all that out
Flamboyant Schemer61 29. juni 2022 kl. 4:58
@epicgamer

You need to do the same for the decision text file too AND add this simple command to the event DRAGONKIN.224 in the events txt in the dragonkin mod:

add_trait = dragon

that way you will also get the dragon trait
darkstardereroberer 10. feb. 2022 kl. 8:27
compatible with elder kings?
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 25. dec. 2021 kl. 3:35
Hard to say due to how rubbery healthy checks can be in the game. I'd say roughly a decade longer, on average, but it varies
iAmInHere (PA2) 24. dec. 2021 kl. 19:05
Question: How long does a typical dragon live?
epicgamer 16. juli 2020 kl. 19:07
yup, i modded the mod. only I know so little about coding that A: i'm not even sure how i made it work, and B: i can't figure out how to publish the changed version to the workshop (although that might be a good thing, if you don't want different versions).

in any case, its cool to play around with considering the fantasty setting Mythos already provides
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 16. juli 2020 kl. 18:16
Hehe, you modded my mod. Glad you liked it enough to make it work with Mythos I suppose. I've always wanted to keep things working with vanilla but at least it's not too difficult for people to adjust.
epicgamer 5. juli 2020 kl. 23:29
alright, I figured it out. I will post the instructions to anyone who might play mythos 2 and want to make the mod compatible. this is not entirely finished, but it will at least give you a dragon portrait and fix some other stuff.

-go to the dragonkin folder. you reach this on windows 10 by going into your files, then going:
Documents>Paradox Interactive>Crusader Kings II>mod>dragonkin.
do this twice, on two different file windows.

-on one of the file windows, copy the dragonkin folder, paste it somewhere else, and unzip it.

-open the dragonkin folder that you just unzipped and go to events, then open the text file

(continued below)
epicgamer 5. juli 2020 kl. 23:29

-use ctrl-f to open the "find" tool. search up "dragon_culture" and replace anything it finds with "draconic". this needs to be fixed because mythos 2 replaces the dragon culture name

-once you change every "dragon_culture" to "draconic", exit the txt file. on the other folder window, double click on the zipped folder, and go to events.

-drag the text file from the unzipped folder to the zipped folder, and have it replace the original text file in the zipped folder. you needed to do this because windows won't let you save a text file to a zipped folder, meaning you need to move the file in from somewhere else instead.

so yeah, i fixed the mod, maybe i'll post it as it's own thing now...
L4C_Fantome 4. juli 2020 kl. 11:25
french version? please
epicgamer 26. juni 2020 kl. 0:28
where in the mod does it change the character portrait? i have looked through most of the files and can't find it
epicgamer 26. juni 2020 kl. 0:09
i noticed. i'm gonna look into a way to mod... the mod? to see if i can fix it
Turtle-Gal 18. juni 2020 kl. 11:55
@epicgamer the reason it doesn't work well with mythos is because the dragons in this aren't the same ones that are in mythos. These are part of the base game.
epicgamer 6. juni 2020 kl. 18:02
one more thing before i try and play with this mod, it would also be nice, as another comment here mentioned, to have stuff for dragon SLAYERS. if you were to kill a dragon, perhaps you could get a trait or modifier that greatly improves prestige or combat ability!
epicgamer 6. juni 2020 kl. 17:59
btw, i read some older comments and someone seems to have had compatibility issues with Mythos 2. maybe you can take a look at this? i'm not a coding expert but the only thing Mythos 2 does to dragons is change the portraits, so it should hopefully not be too hard to fix
epicgamer 6. juni 2020 kl. 17:57
this looks like it will fit in well with my games using the Mythos 2 mod... can someone recommend other fantasy mods that would be compatible with Mythos 2?
diegocontinental 24. maj 2020 kl. 15:19
Does anyone else have a problem where you can't burn or devour prisioners depite that being one of the boons of dragon culture?
Bruce Wayne 19. maj 2020 kl. 23:15
sweeeeeet
dracozulka 5. maj 2020 kl. 1:44
Patrick this may be due to a feature in AGOT which makes a player tagged and as a dragon abdicate because of the wildfire event success
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 25. apr. 2020 kl. 9:14
I don't know what to say here alas. There must be some sort of conflict going on between my work and one of the others you have installed.
PatrickLovegood 24. apr. 2020 kl. 19:47
Yes I do have some mods running at the same time, including the valyria recolonizable mod. I don't think the succession have impact on this, it's just normal primogeniture. I tried three characters, and they all abdicated soon after the adaption, and were then declared incapable or unusable(I don't quite remember the word, but they have a forbidden mark on the portrait) they were all around 50.
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 5. apr. 2020 kl. 2:17
Hi Patrick, do you have any other mods going on? Or some kind of succession that forces it? It should not happen...
PatrickLovegood 5. apr. 2020 kl. 2:00
The mod is fun thx! But about a year after my character "adapt the true form", he abdicated automatically, without any event. I saved and loaded several times, but it still happened. I don't know if it's bug or something.
Thanks for any help!
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 3. apr. 2020 kl. 6:10
Thank you :) I haven't experimented with Rise to Power myself
kylearn 2. apr. 2020 kl. 20:27
First off, thanks for the great mod. Has anyone had issues with This mod and Rise to Power? I never see this society when RTP is enabled. Any possible suggestions/workarounds? I like the idea of a landless Dragonkin becoming an Emperor of the World. Thanks in advance.
Oaklock 21. feb. 2020 kl. 13:24
Ah that's a good point. I have several mods. Most probably its Mythos 2 - Historical Fantasy that is conflicting here, because this mod has a Dragon fantasy race added.
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 21. feb. 2020 kl. 4:16
Glad to hear it Oak! Sorry to hear about the mission reoccuring. Did you have some other mods on or something that affected the dragon race? Curious.

And don't worry it's a secret to everyone!
Oaklock 20. feb. 2020 kl. 10:25
Just wanted to say I really enjoy this.
I have had a small bug where I get to the end, transform into a dragon and then continuously get the last mission to transform repeatedly again and again.

Otherwise, thought it was really funny that they want you to stay Intrigue when, you can start breathing fire and transform into a dragon lol
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 7. feb. 2020 kl. 22:58
Indirectly, as dragon culture gives +4 health. In practice this doesn't end up being a large number of years due to health penalties for age stacking up pretty high, but nonetheless.
Kongolo "Sambubu" Nadine 6. feb. 2020 kl. 8:02
Does it let you live longer?
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 21. jan. 2020 kl. 9:01
One of the missions requires changing to the Intrigue focus. While I could disable the mission I'm not sure how the game would handle my changes to Intrigue focus if Way of Life is missing. I'd have to look into it sometime to be honest.
diegocontinental 20. jan. 2020 kl. 13:52
What exactly does this use from Way of Life?, and is it in any way possible to play without it?
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 17. jan. 2020 kl. 21:02
It should be fine Nuk3D. Worked last time I tried, let me know if you have any issues. CK2 is EOL so I don't imagine there should be any breaking changes.

@michael what sort of options would you like?
Azyrithian 17. jan. 2020 kl. 17:56
love the mod just wish it wasnt dragon take over everywhere should give it some customization options at game start
Fish Salad 16. jan. 2020 kl. 16:20
Does this work with the latest version of CK2?
lmfao 24. nov. 2019 kl. 6:58
Animal Diversity already does that
Kilkakon  [ophavsmand] 6. nov. 2019 kl. 8:02
Hi there Hagnat, I've yet to try it but I believe that the Animal Diversity mod might be what you are looking for. I'll report back once I've had a chance to give it a try myself.
HICON 3. nov. 2019 kl. 11:00
@kilkakon ofc! The sub-mod will still require this mod to function in any capacity :-)
hagnat 3. nov. 2019 kl. 10:49
another suggestion: would it be possible to create additional portrait for male/female characters ? since dragons dont wear clothes, it also starts to be confusing to see all my court look exactly the same
