This works well with the AI enabled—I can spawn them in the robot factory. But hey, since you said you're not adding DLC skins, can I ask how you created these characters? I'd like to make one myself. I just want the soldier skin, but I need templates to do it.

I tried making a separate mod for tool skins, and while it worked, it also broke some animations. So I am not sure it is possible to make a mod like this for tool skins simply because of the way tools were coded by Keen. It isn't as simple as changing a texture reference like this mod does.

I'm confused. This mod only allows you to change your character skin. Tool skins that you have unlocked and are in your steam inventory are the only skins you can equip. If you haven't unlocked a particular skin from an unknown signal drop pod, or owned DLC then you CAN NOT equip it.

There is, however, a bug (that I am trying to track down) with this mod that doesn't allow you to change your tool skins in the medical station, but you can change them through the character select in the main menu. I have tested and confirmed that it works in both Singleplayer and Multiplayer. If this doesn't work for you can you post a screenshot or video to help me understand what is happening.

can confirm, DLC tools from this mod cant be chosen even in main menu!!!

sadly it does not work with animated interactions...is that maybe for the real skins too that it does not work

Tool skins do work, but they need to be applied through the character selection in the main menu. I am looking into why tool skins can't be applied through the med station

I found and fixed the issue. You shouldn't have any problem using the replay tool anymore.

So I've been trying to get ready to make my new short but the game was crashing. I hate to say it but I traced it back to this mod. Whenever I hit F6 to change to a new dude that has one of the suits on it crashes. Not sure why but just thought I'd pass that along. It only really effects people like me switching a lot to record so if your just getting this to play with you should be more then OK.

Thumbs up for sure! Great mod, I always found mostly skins very nice but drop real money on the marketplace isn't a option (especially the really expensive ones) this is great for someone who only plays singleplayer...

So glad to finally see this mod revived or reborn. Nicely done.
