I wouldn't say that's a very significant trade-off for an alternate style. I mean say what you want, but aside from the little icon for the demoman, the trim, (especially visually in-game,) would hardly be noticeable within in-game by other players. I'd dare say people wouldn't be able to tell at first within their backpack unless they were staring in close enough.
