The mod works, but it wasn't removing the shogun advice so I wasted hours trying to figure out why only to just test a campaign out and find out that it's working.

Something I don't like about this mod is that it's enabled for the AI as well. Which means come mid game, a majority of port owners will build the nanban port and become christian. Half the challenge of going christian is the hefty -40 diplomacy, turning most neighbors pretty hostile which I think is a fun challenge. Now it's very temporary, and once they get +50 diplo the game is honestly just too easy.

This mod is great only if you're in for literally everyone slowly turning christian, if you dont convert yourself prepare for an endless crusade and revolts in all your frontier settlements

The mod still works but it's depend on each turn if your lucky at early or later mid/late

@LeRouge44 the different clans hate christanity, just the way it is, and if you have an alliance with a christian clan they will hate you for that aswell

doco this works on campaign start, if the mod has loaded correctly you will not get advice on becoming the shogun. if you are still getting that advice on campaign start then likely conflict with other mod

I dont usually respond to these type of comments but some advice: Assume no two TW mods work together and be surprised when they do, because thats the reality especially if they do anything simular. Most people with several mods are probably just not noticing which arent working. In this case I assume this other mod mentioned also changes campaign starts so that seems pretty obvious to me. I've detailed which file this mod edits, that is the very most I can do. If you want to be certain open all mods with packfile manager and check what they don't contain the same files.

Have other people experienced the majority of the AI converting to christanity after downloading this mod? I've only played/finished one campaign with this mod and it felt a lot easier since a bunch of the AI were dealing with rebellions. Only clans that didn't convert were those with capitals inland. Was this just something I had in one campaign or was it the mod itself?

The mod as described only changes the building requirement. If ikko units require their unique faith then going christian as ikko isn't a great strat.

How does this affect Ikko Ikki? Are ikko ikki monks still tied to the ikko ikki faith or can you still recruit them and convert to christian?

Don't know, only that south west factions always get it. Could be as you say that northern factions could get it by sending a ship down there.

Do you know what actually triggers the event? It seems as long as I navigate down to the south of the map with a ship, and discover a Christian faction that I always get the event after completing my trade port.
