Question: I know most of your creations will have a LCD panel describing the upgrade spots. This one seems to be lacking that. Or maybe I'm blind. Great ship though!

Although it is said to be airtight, it is not. I have tried to locate the leak but failed. Can anyone help?

A good starter ship as low cost to build that works in RE. Like it that there is plenty of space inside to add things like shields and good space in cockpit area to upgrade medical bay etc but as soon as you do you will need to upgrade generator and thrusters. Thanks for building and sharing :)

Low firepower because only canon turrets. But I guess other guns would be too expensive for a starter CV. However, the blueprint should be expanded with a detector and a shield.

That's a nice ship, But there is something seriously wrong with it. No matter where you put a grow plot it dies. My guess is one or more blocks arent following the rules.

Plant any pentaxid plants? Those generate radiation.

Check there is nothing that generates heat or radiation too close to the plants.

I like this ship, I like it a lot. I needed a CV i could spam without too much trouble for new recruits, and this fits the bill. 4 turrets, no shields... but a LOT of room to upgrade. Lots of interior space for HV, room for SV on top, 325k cargo, no silly staterooms and decorative stuff nobody will ever visit filling up the ship. 36 grow plots which I usually hate, but as a noob ship that's good - give 'em a lot. Again, LOTS of room inside for a person to upgrade it any way they want, and it's all with a basic cpu. I think i'll be making dozens of these! =)

I might put some basic shields in it, some sentry guns on the bottom to defend vs critters. Otherwise I don't think i'll modify it even.

Not too big, beautiful cockpit position with big windows, not 10000 rooms, easy to navigate, im absolutely in love!

Thank you Kmordain! It is still functional. Despite many types of creations having issues between RE and vanilla, the starter CV class seems to translate well. So this ship, Kriel-Shade, MCRN- Pioneer, and Skaar-Bago have all remained operational in RE and vanilla. (Most current starters for the 4 factions). And thanks again!

This is by far one of the best CV's I have used on the blueprints. Its easy to modify for your needs. It is very well designed and is cheap to start with. Bravo to the creator.

A very good and highly customizable ship. Using this in an RE game now and love it. Only problem I've had is with the cockpit. Sometime the lag causes a bouncing effect when exiting and this can cause you to get throw out of the ship. This primarily happens when the ship is in a hover on a planet. Moved the cockpit back one block and it seems to have helped. Also the ship never had a detector (easily added of course). Great build!

It technically should not happen as the grown plant is a full block away from the shield and the area is not exposed to rads or heat from the shield. I really have not solution for it short of removing the effected grow plots in the area. Thanks again all!

Awesome starter CV. This is just what we were looking for. We wanted a mobile base / carrier / cargo bay type CV to start jumping to other sectors and hold a small HV tank and smallish SV combat fighter. We were going to just build a big cube but this is much better and looks great. Thanks for all your hard work on these designs!

I like the Wayfarer a lot. Very simple layout, has all the basic features with some extras, and the author has reserved some spaces for special equipment - Repair, Offline Protection, and Shields. However, the placement of the Shield generator kills the forwardmost growing plots on the starboard side. :(

Thank you all! @Fortaleza, I took a look at the CPU and it seems to be fine for RE. You may have to find some spots for more CPU cores, but it is under 400K CPU how it is and works. @Too lazy to choose a name, I believe it would be for a repair bay. (or armor repair). I'm mentioning that a recent update that changed how AOE damage is handled, seems to have helped with the weak spot that usually destroys the generator. A bad move i made left me limping sideways back to Akua. The ship was mangled and looked like the wrecks you explore on the moon. Surprisingly, the generator was one of the few things untouched.

need to keep this one updated jr. its one of the easiest to navigate.

Just a comment on the radiation by the pentaxid tank in the hangar. There is space in the room set aside for the shield generator to hide the tank behind the generator, getting it out of the hangar. I know tactically it can be beneficial to keep them apart, but it's an option for anyone looking to curb that radiation

@Master Obelawe, It is most likely you have over 200 subs and then the game stops showing them in reverse alphabetical order in your list. So this starting with W would be one of the first to get cut off the list. Normally I would find the folder and copy a bunch out. The problem is, you have to look at each folder to get the name of the creation as they are just numbered at the folder name. The path on my PC to this folder is here: C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\383120 with a default install. I hope that helps. Thanks again!

Thanks 小町! It is a weak starter CV and keeping at Tier 2 stock I really can't make it very tough. However, if you do upgrade it to tier 3 CPU and add a shield, that would help a lot. The bad guys can do some pretty quick damage and the steel hull blocks are pretty weak. When building this I was trying to maximize space but that will leave parts close to the edges of the ship which can be targeted like happened to you. And thanks again!

I used this ship as my first survival CV, very helpful design. After 100 hours gameplay it still worked well. Amazing!

But there's some weakpoint, like thin floor and guardless engine room, the latter maked me a huge problem.

When I was mining on an astroid, two rocket drones attack from the bottom, before I realize it's an attack, the generator was destroyed and ship blackout.

After I handled the drone, my ship still in one piece, except generator... no backup, can't build it myself, nearest base lightyears away......repair this ship is another stroy, long story...

I tested the ship in creative mode and found if attack proper point, rockets can destroy the generator very fast(several shot), the warp engine have similar problem but not critcal, with power and material it can be rebuild fastly, but generator...lost only power so easily is a real weakpoint, in some extreme case.

Thank you very much R5Dad! :) I have been currently focusing on Skaar and Kriel creations, but have made a starter CV for both factions now as well as the MCRN. The MCRN-Pioneer, Kriel-Shade, and Skaar-Bago. All of these ships follow the same general interior design and layout as the Wayfarer-ST. In the creations I have made, the next human notch up in CV's is the Carapace-C3 which also has a similar layout. It is a little bigger thou so a bit more walking is needed, but not much. And thank you again!

I judge my ships on a key feature. If it fails that feature, the rest of the ship is pointless to me.
That feature is the time from board to departure. How long does it take for me to get on board, to the pilot's seat, and depart. For the Wayfarer-ST, it's about as quick as you can get for a ship this size!
One elevator, accessible from front, back, and the upper deck, you can't possibly get lost.

Then add the garden, the weapons, and the space to add medical equipment right in the hangar, you have a perfectly laid out ship. The functionality appeases those who want a ship that is straightforward and only needs the personal touches to mold this ship into perfection.

Been using this build for over a year, coming from another build that I can't even remember the name! That's how good this one is.
