I can jump from the light bridge to the end door. I do not even need the slightest bit of strafing. Am I supposed to fail that jump?

Solved it the intended way (blue gel on light bridge + jump from faith plate to exit) but I'm not a fan of the quick and precise reshooting of portals plus the gel had so much momentum that I had to steer a bit to the left to hit the spot PLUS reaching the light bridge was so damn close. I mean it worked at first try but didn't feel 100% intended...

Yeah, didn't solve it the intended way. I know how though. This was just the first idea my mind came up with :P as you said an old and exploitable chamber, but in spite of its flaws I think the idea is clever.

Difficulty: 3.5/10

I'm an idiot. I had no idea the piston platform extends when you stand on it. Thought it was there for decoration lol

Oh this one is easy; although it would be better if the key move is visually closer together. and somehow off-bouncing into the underside of piston lift kills the player. Hint: the key move is something Skyferret just used in his map a while ago; I was teaching a newbie how to perform this move.

I think I found all 3 possible solutions?

The first solution was just getting blue gel on the wall next to the exit, opposite of the portable surafaces, and angle it a bit.
The second solution was just get the bridge as high and close as possible to the exit and just jump on the platform
The third, and probably intended solution involved getting blue gel on the bridge

I like the first one the best tbh.

@Tronsnake Yup, this is a very old test and as such it's extremely exploitable. Try some of my newer tests instead!

Yes, this one is lackluster - mostly because it's very old. And no remake exists, sorry! You're probably better off sticking to my newer stuff for the most part :)

I've been playing these old tests because I just can't get enough Demon Arisen. (I gather that "DEMONGORGON" is an early alias of Demon Arisen.)

This one seems to fall short of the excellent tests Demon Arisen has produced in more recent years. The jump from the light bridge to the exit is really rather easy as long as you locate the light bridge just low enough to give yourself a little head room.

Is there a remake that forces the intended solution?

Another good one, not too difficult but clever and very fun to play. The map is clean and easy to understand. Good job

Excellent puzzle. The last bit took me a while, but only because I was shooting the 2nd portal too quickly! I've now tried and completed all of your single player chambers in your workshop from 'Light Switch' 7 Sep 2016 all the way back to 'Indirect' 22 Jun 2013, except for 'Skybox' which I've still got to cracked, which I'll go back and try again shortly. All of your circa 60 chambers are worth playing and the vast majority are brilliant in concept and construction - I'm amazed how you managed to come up with so many new and interesting ideas. Thank you, your puzzles have given me hours of pleasure.

I put the comments there at two diferent times. But the puzzle cncept still exists. I thought that the Hammer editor was way too open-ended.

Great test chamber. I'm making a collection called Portal 2: The Priosner, and one of the Puzzle's has the main concept of using a faith plate to direct a cube into a wall button that spawns a sphere, and you have to direct the sphere into the same button over and over to proceed. Great work :)

Good job man, these tests are timeless, I'm a rookie test chamber creator and its hard for me to create chambers of this caliber, I way overtought the ending, really good.

A solution that's probably unintended: Get gel on the wall near the exit and bounce at an angle to the door. I found that easier and less frustrating than the intended solution, which took me many, many tries after I solved it in my head: Get blue gel on the light bridge at the perfect spot and use the faith plate to bounce to the exit.

I agree with pa1ntmaster. Similar to Sea Spray but I found this one to be a bit more open-ended and not as smooth as in I can skip using blue gel to get the first cube just by using the light bridge alone all thanks to an exploit as I first enter the chamber. I only have one chance to take the shortcut so if I don't perform it or I screw up the shortcut, that's it. Can't redo unless I restart the map. I can even make the jump to the exit without the aerial faith plate!

This one reminded me of Azorae's Sea Spray, only...easier (yes, this test is deceptively easier than you might think it to be)! There is one small trapping issue if the player tries to use the excursion funnel to get the cube (as well as somewhat excessive lighting). Other than that the test is great.

I'm pretty sure I know what toothless tried to do to solve the puzzle. I tried it two different ways, and it didn't work. There may have been a potential shortcut without having to use any timing, just mad jump skills.

Got to the exit. Wished I could see the two ways that Toothless did so I could see your intended solution. But his video is gone. Pretty sure that I did it the intended way based on your description.

Not at all. It' not possible to reach the exit only by jumping - it' the thing how to make portals :)

@skullbucket. It can be done, you just need to be in the right place when you do it... You have to be fairly speedy with your portal placement to do it. Hint: you should be in the light bridge room when you do the thing which allows you to get to the exit.
