Another tech is that when you grab onto a ladder with up or down, there is an incredibly tight period where you can jump without dropping the item you are holding (in this case, a bat) this can be done multiple times a ladder, and I think it's necessary in the 3rd tutorial section, where you have to do this jump twice on two different ladders.

For people wondering, You can catch an eyebat out of the air assuming you're quick enough off the ladder. I've only gotten through the first ladder but very cool level idea for sure!
