Can you add Halo wars songs?

@Aeteia I'm not sure that this works with Eden's drop down menus by default. I originally made this for use during Zeus missions, so didn't really test that.

Manually, it should be "game/songname.ogg" pretty much, if I remember correctly.

The "game" should be replaced with either halo2, halo3, odst or reach (with that spacing and capitalization).

The "songname" is the track name from the soundtrack without any spaces or punctuation.

The track names should use their title from the official soundtrack, ignoring sub-tracks, so make sure you're using those.

For example, you wouldn't be able to use "Heroes Also Fall" since it's technically part of the "Black Tower" track on the soundtrack. So if you wanted "Heroes Also Fall" you'd have to play halo3/blacktower.ogg starting around 3:46 in the track.

It's been a while since I made this mod though and I can't be 100% sure that the above formatting is correct, so if you have the time it'd probably be safest to open the PBO to make sure.

Where do I find the tracks in the eden editor? I'm checking under music in triggers but so far, no dice.

Read the description. "This pack includes every song from the Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST, and Reach soundtracks."

The files were a lot bigger before i converted them to .ogg and packed them into a .pbo. You also have to take into account that Halo 2+3 have two-disc soundtracks, so you're essentially downloading 6 CDs worth of sountrack-length music.

There are smaller Halo music packs that exist if you don't want ALL the songs, but if you want the ability to choose then it's going to cost you 947MB.

Why is this so huge?!

I haven't had any issues with it not triggering. It's mainly for use with Zeus missions, triggered manually. If you want the music you can just unpack the PBO and extract the .ogg files.

@Genesi[s] Most of the Halo 1 music was re-done/re-mastered/re-imagined in either Halo 2 or Halo 3. The mod is already plenty large in terms of size, so including what are essentially redundant tracks wouldn't be ideal. The tracks that weren't upgrades aren't really significant enough (in my opinion) to include on their own and the original versions are typically more MIDI-esque and have lower quality.

Although you didn't ask, I'll also mention that I didn't include the Halo 4/5 music because I don't really care for it personally.

If you feel like you want them (either the Halo 1 tracks or the later games' tracks), it's fairly easy to make your own mod that includes them.
