I thought this Generated air. Would be cool if it did.

Well that’s a point! I guess there is actually a use for the pipe switches after all.

@MasterOfGrey this is the balance of the building, you need a good overall colony. I set the high output to cover emergencies, you can of course put a pipe switch near this to block the output when your colony runs into trouble. Considering the total power output this building can provide (more than the Artificial Sun) there had to be balance.

The 50 output on this is really harsh, it takes so long to charge, but even if you have lots of other oxygen backup the output rate on this can seriously hamper your power output even when you didn’t need the air actually stored in this structure.

It's a 2 in 1 building, it stores oxygen and produces power.
More oxygen stored, more power you get.
It can still supply your colony when needed but as the oxygen reduces the power output reduces making it a balancing act.

I'm sorry. what does this do? I built a bunch of wind turbines on ir

The air is taken from the life support grid, so uses that logic for the supply of air.
Initially it would require power to make it work, hence initially it produces a tiny amount and increases as more air is in the system.
The two tanks attached to the dome are essentially giant pistons to force the air through the system, more air gives more pressure meaning the blades can turn faster and produce more power.
The air in the life support grid will have pressure to begin with, otherwise it wouldn't get around the system efficiently (if at all) so I figured that pressure small as it is would be enough to make the blades turn a small amount and kick start the process. If you think about the distances the grid can cover there must be a fair bit of pressure there that can be tapped in to. (that's my thinking at least)

But seriously now. I don't understand how this pneumatic turbine is to work and get a positive flow of energy.
I see how you are using stored air to turn the blades but you need power to get the air first and compress it so it has enough pressure to turn the blades.
Both of those steps use energy, a lot of energy.

Then you need to do it quickly, trying to suck up enough air and compress it on a nearly airless world.
Seems like it won't work.

No girls allowed! hahaha!

That was supposed to be both sexes not sexy. I have bad cordination, so sorry for the typos.
If female players want a female station then why us men only have statues? After all you can't have a colony without both sexy and I am sure they will be working hard to make the colony work just like us men. I says devs give them their female statues ASAP.
Someone must add the "The Motherland Calls" statue to the game!
@Sombrero that is a very good question, the mod editor only has 3 statue models, all men oddly. I've not found any female statues.
Why are there only statues of men. Where are the women ones?
At max power it's output is higher than the Artificial Sun, but takes a long time to get there with the risk of pipe leaks or oxygen shortages in the colony taking air from this building. I tried to make this a bit of a balancing act. Curious what other think on this as well, is the costing about right or maybe the maintenance needs to be higher?
My only issue with making it like a wonder is that there already is a fusion generator. I’ll test out the mod and see but with a fair number of sponsors I could probably just buy 100 polymers at start.
I agree, that's why I try to keep the costs near Wonder Tier and the maintenance just that bit higher than normal to put people off trying to build it early on when the resoures should be used elsewhere.
I've not locked my Wonder Tier mods behind tech yet to let more people test them and give feedback and suggestions but it's something I'm aiming for later on, stopping people bulding them early on.
Do you think the costs and maintenance for this mod are about right or do they need bumping up a bit?
The in dome one is a good idea. I just don't really see the point of mods that make the game so much easier or act as early game wonders.
I might not make one that small, normal storage in game holds around 100. I didn't want to go too small as the oxygen need vs power need isn't so obvious then. What do you think to 25 or 50 tho?
It could store 25 and produce 25 so its a direct 1vs1 ?
I can just use the dome section of this by itself as the storage would be loads less (but modify it to look better for a small amount)
I was aiming to make an in-dome version which made 25 power and stored 100 air. Thoughts?
Will there ever be a smaller version of this mod, like one that produces 10-15 when charged?
