I was curious if a mod like this existed since I had a pawn who kept praying all the time and I thought it would be neat to just go "yeah he's muslim, that's why"

Even more sad to see the nature if discourse on the religion mods in general. I mean holy crap. People need to grow up, both the religious people and the atheists. If you're a theist, believe that the atheists will be punished in the afterlife, if you're an atheist, believe that you don't need to sink to the level organized religion has in the past. Neither side has a reason to be so hostile beyond "buh, buh, dey shtarted eet!" which is, in itself, a petty and childish reason for anything.

Grow up. Depending on perspective you're either god's chosen or the one type of monkey smarter than the others. fricking act like it.

Hello, I love this mod and wanted to ask (since no one has yet) if you plan on updating it for v1.1?

this looks really cool so far! as for new additions adding the broad other religions would be a good place to start I think. Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism, and some variants of native spiritualism for tribals would be cool. After these and any other more obscure religions you would want to add (Zoroastrianism, etc) you could expand on the current ones by adding variants of each religion (Protestant, orthodox, catholic and other reformed variants for Christianity, shias and sunis for Islam, Theravada, Mahyana, Tibetan and zen for Buddhism, etc). all of this would be dependant on how long you would want to work on this mod for and all of these features would take an eternity if they are even possible so this was just spitballing on my part. Religion is a fascinating topic and having it in rimworld would be really cool!

Just FYI, the link in the mod description to the Religions of Rimworld base mod is blocked by Steam as a "potentially dangerous link." I can still access the Religions of Rimworld page by searching the Workshop, so I'd bet that the link is broken in some way (probably a typo or something like that).

I'm personally going to be adding a mod that's going to incorporate successor versions of the various faiths. I figure that given several thousand years of isolation you'll see different sects of, say, mainline protestantism to be as different from each other as they are from Islam or Judaism today. Much potential!

The Nazis, at least in Nazi Germany, considered religion only in how best to realize their visions. For example, many of the Nazi leadership were basically atheists, and greatly oppressed for example, the Catholics, though a number of Pagans were in their ranks.

They did prefer proto-religious doctrines, such as the Japanese with their Kamikaze tactics, or Germanic Paganism and "the Muhammadean religion", as they considered these religions more liable to allow a Germanic conquest than "pacifistic Christianity".

dallsbeek and Pinhead, I think it is quite unwise to debate about this in a comment thread. It should be known that general religions conflicts underpinned political and economic upheaval that would have resulted in conflict anyway, but made convenient by the presence of differing religions.

Also, why do you mention the Crusades, but not Jihads? The Islamic conquests in Anatolia and Andalusia were far more brutal then the Crusades into the Levant.

Anyway, it's rather silly that you say "people should practice religion freely" whilst also saying "lol you put in religion? As if Rimworld wasn't deadly enough!" but then turn around and say that people who killed religions people weren't atheists, they were antitheists.
